Ideal hotel for train travellers.Foggia isn't a tourist town and we stayed there after a trip round Pulia, as a convenient place to get a mid morning train to Milan. We arrived at lunchtime and the fact that there were two very good and inexpensive regional restaurants for lunch and dinner, and the White House hotel made the stay relaxing and enjoyable. I echo other comments about the rooms being very spacious, including the bathroom, and my wife was very pleased that there was indeed a bath after an otherwise shower only trip. The service was good and friendly, and they were happy to ring and confirm for us that the restaurant we had chosen was open and had a table available. WiFi was good and after a bit of a tourist schedule in Pulia it was good after a wander round town and the nearby park after lunch, to relax in a comfortable room. There are cafes in the pedestrian area leading to the centre where people stroll and have a drink before dinner. In the morning there was a very good breakfast buffet with coffee freshly prepared to order. Our train to Milan left at 10.25 and it was a five minute stroll to the station so it was a very civilised departure from Pulia. We paid 95 which was good value for the standard of the room and breakfast. I would thoroughly recommend the hotel.

Run down definitely NOT a 3 starStayed at this hotel for 3 days of business. This hotel is old run down and the service is terrible. Upon check in our room was hot and stuffy, when I asked where the air conditioning was I was told it was now turned off as it wasn't needed anymore. I needed to argue myself into a better room with AC for quite some time. The clerks english was rather bad and had I not been able to speak Italian I might of remained like the others on this trip with no AC. The rooms have no centre lights, they are lit up using only lamps and some of these lamps electrically made funny noises and I feared I may have been electrocuted. No water pressure for a shower and water is luke warm, I was told that the lower rooms may have been closer to the plumbing therefore not had this problem. Lastly walk down the road to the right upon exit for a good coffee and breakfast the one provided at a he hotel is average. Also you can find water two streets down in a store. The mini bar water was charged at 2.50 euros BIG rip off! Only pro, close to train station.

traditional, good prices, close to townI've been in Foggia for a conference. The hotel was booked for me and all in all I am satisfied. The room was not new, but cleaned and wifi working. The breakfast could be stronger, but I in Puglia you rather have a stronger dinner.

Good location for train travellers. We booked the White House Hotel principally for its location to the station. We arrived by Flixbus from Rome and the hotel was easy to find. It is not located in the best area of Foggia as there is a lot of graffiti and signs of destitution. We were glad when we found the hotel and were welcomed warmly by the staff. The upper floors are reached by a small lift. We were taken up to our room which although we had booked a non-smoking room, smelt like one in which someone had smoked. The hotel is indeed old but it is clean and the bathroom had been upgraded. The bath/shower was a little narrow and difficult to stand in without banging into the walls. A desk and small fridge together with two wardrobes that were attached to the walls near the bed but one would need to be a giraffe to reach the rails to hang your clothes. The wardrobe also contained a safe. The fridge contained two bottles of water and there was no sign whether they were complimentary or not and following Timvenuta's comments, we left them where they were. Lighting too was very limited. No overhead lighting. Just one lamp on one side of the bed and another on the desk. The bed was comfortable however we noted that although the sheets were clean and of good quality material, there were several wear tears. The curtains were difficult to operate. There was no airconditioning and we were told that it did not operate because of the temperate weather. We therefore had to open the windows which let in the mosquitoes. Wifi worked well. The hotel is located near a small but good supermarket where we purchased supplies for a picnic dinner. Breakfast was buffet style and there was a good variety, no need to go out to purchase anything. I did however ask for hot chocolate instead of tea or coffee and was told that they had run out of chocolate. There is a large lounge and bar area on the ground floor. While there are drawbacks, if you need to stay close to the station, then this hotel fits the bill.
