  Lovely night, great host

  I really enjoyed this yurt, clean, cosy, warm and great host. Lovely breakfast all vegan!! :). Only negative was getting a taxi which was noithing to do with the host. We took a poratable speaker and spent the evening with music on and chat as I could not get internet. Back to coms the old fashion way, great!

  Great stylish location with excellent breakfast

  Lovely b&b- your very much in someones home so as long as you are ok with that, Melanie was a great host, decor was really cool and arty. Breakfast amazing- we were given whiskey porridge, avocado/egg/Parma ham on toast served on a large communal table in the kitchen diner so you can chat to the host & other guests. Location great, loch beautiful, we walked up Ben vorlich & had dinner at mhor 84 just 5 mins drive & good food/relaxed, Worth knowing There were 2 sweet cats in case you are allergic.

  Fantastic host & stay!

  We spent 3 nights in Melanies place and it was just bliss! We sent Melanie a couple of messages prior to our stay,enquiring about the local area but did not hear back. We are very glad this didnt put us off because Melanie is so generous with her time and energy once you arrive at her home! From the moment we landed, Melanie had the kettle on and sat us down for tea and chats! She is wonderfully warm, open and knowledgeable. She invited us to join her for yoga that evening which was brill! We stayed in the double room and it was immaculately clean and cosy. The shower is great and the room has random books and playing cards when you just want to chill in the house! The bed is über comfy too! We had a couple of whiskeys by her open fire one of the nights, which really made it feel like a home away from home! Breakfast is served from 8.30-9.00 but Melanie was flexible about this and it made you feel like you were at your pals after a sleepover, as she cooked eggs and chatted easily! Breakfast consisted of of the fabled whiskey porridge followed by poached eggs on brown bread with Melanies signature avocado salad. This was definitely one of the highlights of each day! Melanie welcomes you into her family home but equally leaves to you to enjoy your own privacy whichever is your preference. We would highly recommend and will try and get back. PS Melanie is a talented artist with various pieces on display throughout the house. She did a tarot reading for me as well as a beautiful reiki session with D.O.S chakra healing discs. She is beautifully warm, perceptive and an excellent holder of space for you. Would recommend!

  Quirky, but has a number of serious issues that need to be sorted

  Lets start with the good stuff - the owners are very nice, friendly people. However there are a number of concerns for me- starting with their admin. Looking back over years of reviews, they have a problem with bookings - visitors turn up and find they were not expected or the room they booked is no longer available. This problem has not been fixed. Then there is the advertising; they say there is WiFi where there is not. They say there is an ensuing shower room and there is not. And during the coronavirus pandemic when we expect high standards of cleanliness and care for visitors there are no face coverings, no social distancing, and serious question marks over their cleaning routines.

  Ruined birthday visit

  Still waiting on refund I was told would be sent after ruining my sons 40th Birthday !!!!! After being contacted and told I had left an unfair review and is now ignoring all contact ,well Melanie heres another one.
