  Nice small hotel

  We have stayed here for three nights in the beginning of September. The room was nice, good bed and nice bathroom. Staff is friendly and helpful. Breakfast served was good, lots of choices. The restaurant is a bit pricey and portions are not that much. As there are enough places around to eat, that won't be a problem. When we come back to this island this is a possible choice again for sure.

  Kitchen closed for hotel guests, dinner and lunch

  Hotel is fine, but very surprised to be refused dinner ("kitchen is closing") when arriving at dinner time, and also for lunch the next day ("closed lunch"?). Very peculiar, would recommend "het badhuys" across the street. Will try that alternative myself next time

  Comfortable without too many frills

  Had a comfortable stay at this hotel. Staff is friendly, location is superb, and the room was very spacious. Nothing extraordinary to make the hotel stand out, but a good enough place to return to. The hotel is accompanied by a bar (seemed quiet enough, although the summer vacation for youth had ended), and two restaurants (fancy food and more regular dishes), but there are plenty of eateries nearby. Our room was outside the main hotel building in the neighboring house, which was actually quite nice: quite, large and it felt like we had our own place. Not very convenient if you like having breakfast before stepping outside though.

  Nice hotel with decent rooms

  Our room was in a separate building next to the hotel. It was a nice big room with TV, coffee machine, bath and shower. The bed was nice and comfortable. The hotel is on the main street of the village. There are plenty restaurants with good food in the hotels surroundings. But you dont need to get out of the hotel if you want a decent meal. The hotel has a very good restaurant that serves a choice of meals. Breakfast was good. Plenty of choices in bread, drinks like milk, tea, coffee or orange juice and other juices. Theres fresh fruit as well. All in all a good stay for us on Vlieland.

  Misleading pictures on website

  Visited Vlieland for the first time with a friend. The room description advised twin beds, which was what we wanted, but on arrival our room had a double bed. We asked to change and were informed that this was not possible as none of the hotel's rooms had twin beds. Not comfortable with sharing the bed, and other rooms not being available due to peak period, one of us spent the night on the couch. The hotel restaurant's food was also poorly prepared - meat was overcooked, difficult to cut and almost too tough to eat. Service throughout (check-in, restaurant, check-out) was slow.
