  Wonderful stay for our first visit to Sugarbush (Mad River Valley)

  My wife and I had a wonderful stay at the West Hill B&B. We stayed for a long weekend, Thursday - Sunday, in the Allen Suite. It was our first visit to the Sugarbush area. Peter and Susan are excellent hosts. Every part of our stay was relaxed and enjoyable. Our room and bed were comfortable and clean. The house was also clean and had lots of interesting things to look at. Breakfast was creative and delicious. They answered all of my questions about the area and what to look for. Their guidebook was the best guide I've ever received from a B&B (or any place I've ever booked). They had all the necessary Covid protocols in place. My wife and I would highly recommend staying here to anyone who likes B&B or if you ever wanted to try a B&B (this is a great place to start).

  Snowboarding & Relaxing

  My husband and I needed a little get away from the stress of the world right now. He wanted to snowboard on sugarbush mountain and I wanted somewhere charming and quaint so relax. West Hill House far exceeded all of our expectations. Susan and Peter were such wonderful hosts and their location is perfect for easy access to the mountain. We honestly did not want to leave and we will certainly be returning next year!!!

  Simply delightful

  My husband and I spent four nights in the Garden Room for a small getaway and could not have been happier with that choice! Susan and Peter were gracious hosts who immediately made us feel at home. The B&B is extremely cozy and we enjoyed relaxing by the fire and watching the snow come down. Lots of outdoor opportunities - Sugarbush is just up the hill, there are snowshoes available to borrow, or we did a great Nordic ski tour through Umiak Outfitters - but there are also enough books, games, and movies at the B&B to stay entertained for many snowy days. Oh, and Susan's breakfasts were out of this world. Worth mentioning that they are being very thoughtful about COVID precautions - we felt very safe and there is ample common space at the B&B to relax while maintaining appropriate distance. We'd happily stay again.

  Ski getaway

  Due to covid concerns we took our ski vacation in our home state of VT. We chose Sugarbush valley. The skiing was epic but West Hill House exceeded our expectations in every way. Susan and Peter are friendly and helpful hosts. The house has 3 cozy common rooms with enough activities to make you wish you'd get snowed in. Breakfasts were delicious. You're a mile from the mountain with a daily bus to and fro. Our bedroom had all the comforts of home. It was a delightful stay and we can't wait to return.

  Comfort and luxury just minutes from Sugarbush

  I was looking for a room at Sugarbush, but wanted something nicer than the on-slope offerings I saw. Coming across this place, just five minutes from the lift line, felt almost too good to be true. It's beautiful, there are jetted tubs in many of the rooms, AND they use scent-free detergent. I'm allergic to the scented detergents most B&Bs use, so this was a serious find for me. We stayed in the Highland Room and it is adorable. The tub was one of the nicest I've enjoyed and I'm sort of a tub connoisseur. The little gas stove was cute - and effective - but we barely needed it because somehow the place was cozy and draft-free (kind of surprising for such an old building). Great beer selection, really nice scotch, and excellent breakfasts. We brought take-out dinner home one night and they were kind enough to set the table for us, including lit candles. They also tucked a birthday candle into my friend's breakfast muffin, after we offhandedly mentioned his birthday just once. Oh - and the water! I'm a big water drinker so having great-tasting well water right from the tap is a real treat. Susan noticed that I enjoyed the water and had a carafe of it, iced, waiting for us the next day. Pure well water is great for the skin, too, making our baths all the more restorative. Susan and Peter are thoughtful and gracious hosts and have created a beautiful experience that is perfectly located. I hope to return in the summer.
