  Elegant boutique hotel

  The ratings depend on how much you pay. Given Jiaoxi is away from Taipei, you would expect to not pay Taipei prices. My 3 star rating is because we paid US$300 for a US$200 boutique hotel. Otherwise I would say service is very good. There is free parking for anyone who drove. Good location. 8 min walk to train station and bus station which was near to our car rental. Elegantly presented small selection at breakfast but good choice of fruits like oranges, bananas, passionfruit, kiwi. Japanese curry etc. I find the food tasty but prob no western - which is alright by me. Reasonably large heated swimming pool with outdoor hotspring bath which we can stay till 10pm to enjoy the space. The bath in the room is small - just one person size. If you want a full monty hot bath, you can go next door to Just Sleep, its included in the fees. Rooms are new and tasteful. Check in is fast and counter staff are helpful. They helped me book a taxi to Wufengchi waterfalls at 150NT one way and gave me a number to call to pick up on return. Not easy to flag a taxi on the road yourself. At night, there is a movie screening of good quality. No CNN, CNA or BBC ie no western channels on TV but ample Taiwanese news channels. Good location but other choices near by include MU which is bigger or Wellspring's sister Just Sleep which is lower price point and more self service but still as new and more value for money.

  Well done Wellspring!

  We arrived on a weekday afternoon and the check-in was fast and efficient. We stayed in a room with a built in hot tub. The room was clean and roomy. The hot tub was wonderful and relaxing. The highlight of the stay was the hiking (5 flag mountain) that we did the next morning. The activity was organized by the hotel and the active coordinator was Herrison. He was knowledgeable and very friendly. He even carried some extra water and face towel for us to use during the hike. The pace was perfect and we did not feel rushed, even for this 60 yr old. We saw 3 waterfalls and the view was excellent. I highly recommend this activity and suggest you inquire about it during check-in. Afterwards we returned to the hotel and enjoyed the hot tub one more time before checking out.

  Nice hotel in Milan

  We went to this place at the start of Covid-19 and it was absolutely wonderful cos there were very few tourist. Hotel had a lovely bathtub outside the room where one can have your hottub and enjoy and relax.

  Relaxing, small hotel

  While this is not a 5-star hotel it is an above-average boutique hotel. PROS -Great service and friendly staff -Drinks and free happy hour in lobby -Nice roof-top facilities overlooking Jiaosi -Nicely-appointed rooms -Comfortable bed -Good location -Nice male and female Onsens accessible one the adjoining JustSleep hotel CONS -Rooms quite small -In-room hot spring tubs tiny -Breakfast buffet does not cater to international clientele; fruit not properly prepared and slicedjust dumped on the buffet table -Breakfast staff slow to clear away used dishes

  Excellent as always

  Silk chain is one of my favorite hotels chain in Taiwan Been to silk in different cities in Taiwan, all of them are good I specifically like the semi outdoor hot springs in the room, very relaxing with privacy The breakfast is good, not as good as Id expect
