  Very good relation money / value

  As you will need on Miyako island a car to visit the different places, this hotel is a very good choice. You can buy groceries in one of the huge supermarkets and prepare them in the kitchenette of your room. But you can even have breakfast und dinner buffets at very reasonable prices in the restaurant of the nearby Hotel Breeze Bay Marina, which belongs to the same resort; There is a shuttle service between the two hotels if you not prefer to walk. Breakfast buffet cost 1600 Yen, dinner buffet 3600 Yen ( there is free wine and whisky included, you will find it at the end of the table where in the morning the coffee will be prepared ); Very good choice ! The Wellness Villa Brisa has furthermore an indoor pool and an outdoor pool as well. The sandy beach nearby can be reached by a shuttle bus. We did find the Villa Brisa very recommendable !

  Money refand for no cleaning

  Welcome to Japan.If you dont like cleaning they give you voucher 5usd per day.you cn spend it in resturant or gift shop.Everyone smiles-even if not understand english always find someone else.In diner no free alcohol-you get it if you pay 1500y extra.Recomens onsen-only 1200yen but is the best in Japan with sea view

  A bargain!

  Location Miyako-jima (Miyako Island) Style Resort Check In We were not greeted on arrival, there was only two receptionist who were extremely busy with the visitors. The lobby was not luxurious unlike most resorts on Miyako-jima, there were only few seatings at the lobby so we stood and waited for 20 minutes until we could check in. The lady spoke a good level of English, however lacked any emotions, she also spoke in one tone. She was not very informative either even when I asked her about the facilities. She did not provide me any information on check out time, free shuttle bus to other resorts, restaurants in the resort, swimming pool etc. There is an information book in the room, however it is all in Japanese and I could not understand it. It would be very helpful to have it in English or ask them to give us some information when we are checking in. Room Japanese-Western style room I decided to book the Japanese- Western room as on the website and on Tripadvisor shows there is a L shaped sofa and it looks more comfortable. With the western room, there is only a simple simple sofa as the two single beds took up most of the room. Indeed, the room looked up to expectations, it was spacious and absolutely spotless. Once you step into the room, the separate toilet is on the left then you will walk pass the kitchenette. After the kitchenette is the tatami area which is also the sleeping area, at last is the livingroom with the L shaped sofa and balcony. You will need to walk into the kitchen before seeing the door for the bathroom and sink. Kitchen The kitchen is fully equipped with plates, bowls, cutlery, washing liquid, electric stove, sponge and pots. The fridge and microwave was clean and I cannot fault it. It was a shame we did not use the kitchen much, but it was great to have one for washing fruits, making tea and storing cold drinks. Despite it is under the same company, Wellness Villa BRISA is obviously more outdated and less luxurious. Wellness Villa BRISA must once had its glorious days before Shigira resort expanded and became more luxurious. In saying that, I enjoyed my stay at Wellness Villa BRISA, the sea view was splendid and the room was so comfortable for half the price of the Shigira resort. It is worth every penny and made my Miyako-jima trip a memorable one. Would I go back again?   Nice but...

  Surely a good option considering the very high prices in the island. Quite a basic large room with little kitchen (only electric plate and no microwave, no oven), washing machine and balcony. Except for the nice view overlooking the sea and space (for Japan), no special charm for this hotel. Swimming pool (in door and outdoor) accessible but in another building close to the hotel. No beach close to the hotel but a free shuttle to join other resorts attractions.

  My home of Miyakojima

  Cosy, spacious, clean and well-equipped apartment, with unbeatable sea view, staffs were friendly, free cable car ticket was bonus, we will definitely come back. The bakery and café, wide variety of restaurants nearby were plus.
