  Relaxing stay in beautiful surroundings

  We stayed here for a week with extended family. The rooms are nice and spacious, the staff very friendly, professional and attentive. The food is plentiful and delicious. Great for children of all ages. The hotel has it s own private beach where you can take out boats and an electro boat (this one at additional cost) The lake is absolutely stunning, clear and perfect for swimming and fishing. Should the weather let you down, there is a large indoor pool and a wellness area. The Spa upstairs is also worth mentioning. Great for facials, massages, managed by the very lovely and competent Inge, who really made the Spa special. The area itself is beautiful, hiking, walking etc...on your door step. The hotel also lends bikes for bike excursions and tennis rackets for a fun game of tennis in one of the 3 courts. A lovely stay!

  Paradise !

  Traveling for more than 40 years all over the world. Never stayed at such Hotel !. It is managed by a family who takes care on each and every detail you may think of. Nice and roomy rooms looking at a fantastic view of faakersee with nice terrace and blooming flowers. Every place is clean and maintained: The room, the corridors, the outside spaces and gardens. The service is always with a smile and good will. The public sweeming pools, inside and outside are astonished as well as the treatment facilities. We took half board. what can we say more about a perfect sheff who cook and serve the most tasty food with acompany by a service out of this world ? WOW !!!

  Nice summer

  Beautiful hotel beside a lake overlooking the Carinthia and the Mittagskogel Mountain. Crate with undisturbed lake with clean water. The lake has a sauna with direct access to the water, massages and a sandy beach. The hotel also has an outdoor and indoor pool and jacuzzi. The hotel is beautiful and has a bicycle storage room. Serving wine and food as well. Beautiful surroundings for hikes and bikes.

  A quick short term stay

  We decided on short notice to spend a weekend in the Karnerhof, we already knew from earlier stays. Everything as expected, the location is quite unique. Even the hotel was this time fully booked (we normally go there off-season), there was never the feeling of being crowded. If you go there you should defintively go for a lakeview room and book half-board with dinner. A five-course menue which is everything but a regular half-board menue. And try the lake-sauna with its special covered ladder into the lake. It isaccessible all day round, so you also can use it as an entrance to the lake without clothes. The crew pays special attention to the current rules around the SARS-Cov2 virus, so we felt safe all the time and everywhere on the premises.

  Service à la bonne heure

  The customer truly is king at the Karnerhof. The service quality is supreme, even put against higher-rated hotels I have previously stayed at. What really stood out regarding this was the treatment of my disabled mom, who they brought breakfast to the room, fetched medicine from a pharmacy, drove down to the lake-side beach with a golf cart, and just generally treated super nicely. Here I want to pay a special thanks to Franz Egger from service, who remembers each customer's name, and Laetitia from the reception who went above and beyond and was just exceptional. My mother was also able to stay in a modern room on the ground floor with a view of the lake and an accessible bathroom and shower. I visited the Karnerhof for 5 days in July and thoroughly enjoyed the experience. The area offers plenty of activities to do, such as football golf, golf, tennis (directly at the Karnerhof), swimming, hiking, biking, as well as various water activities (rowing and SUP can be done at the Karnerhof, sailing, kayaking, and windsurfing can be done from spots very close to the hotel. The food was also great with the terrace offering a nice view of the mountain range and the lake. Would definitely recommend staying here, especially for families with small kids and senior citizens, which the hotels particularly caters to. What I could recommend for further improvement would be ventilators in the restroom in the rooms as well as increasing the wi-fi bandwith for the hotel rooms which suffers especially during busy times (e.g. 7-10 pm).
