  Short business stay on the lakeshore

  Excellent location, both coming by train or by plane (Altenrhein Airport). From train stop it's not even 5 min walk. Hotel is set directly to the lakeshore, whenever available get a lakeside view room. Fan-ta-stic view on sunset and dawn. Breakfast in the patio or veranda how you want to call it. Lot of stuff available, veggies might ask before something special. Indulging on Swiss cheese, bread (brötchen) crispy and tasty (lecker!). Very tasty expresso coffee, prepared on the big machine at bar. Since entering hotel you feel a very welcome and rewarded guest. Personnel, both at reception and in the restaurant friendly and helpful. Room small but with all comforts. No Kettle in the room but ready available on stairways, and you'll be rewarded with fresh fruit in case you got still space after meals, or ...just in case... Restaurant: despite being Valentine day and very busy the staff was friendly helpful and not stressed. A very wide menu including fish and meat. Try out the fish catched locally and cooked with mediteranean nuance. Accompanying local wine very good. Hotel support CO2 free environment. You'll get a very good and light tap water. A place good for business and overall for families

  Beautiful hotel on the Swiss side of the Bodensee

  We shared the upper appartment with our friends (4 rooms and 1 extra bed) and experienced one of the most amazing sunsets on our holiday by Bodensee. The beds could be bigger and more comfortable - they were too soft for us. We were not really happy with the breakfast that was included in the price of the room. The service was very slow - we needed to ask for every roll or croissant as they were never filled up automatically. What a pity - could have been one of the best stays of our cycling tour.

  Lake Constance Sunset from the Swiss Side

  From the booking ( all on the phone ) until the check out there was nothing to left to desire. Very friendly staff, efficient, and a place which nestel´s around the lake shore and a public swimming area. The lady at breakfast and presentation was 5* and we also enjoyed dinner at the restaurant ( had no booking but was made simple ) nice extra table.

  relaxing stay at the Bodensee

  I was there for business, nice room lake side. For working in the hotel a larger table might be useful; may be I should have asked for it while booking. WLAN was working properly, good food at the hoel restaurant

  Totally overpriced!

  We stayed for one night in two rooms on a bike trip and found the place to be grossly overpriced. One room was renovated with lake view, it was large and comfortable, but nothing above 3 star. Other room was road facing, only partly renovated and a little grim, especially the bathroom - our daughter wasn't too impressed. For CHF350 for one night for both rooms we felt cheated. Breakfast was simple and again nothing special.... overall just a con at the price paid via booking.com. Why do some hotels charge so much more via booking - rather offer customer service and not advertise via booking or do so and be fair. Customers should not be penalised for using the site - that approach is sooo OVER. Nice terrace, but again needs attention and urgent renovation. At CHF 470 for room and dinner, you can understand our frustration at having paid over the odds, especially when other German guests were having half board and room at special group price via their bike travel group! Cannot recommend.
