  Hyden Wave Rock

  Just recently stayed here. Unfortunately the room we were given had not been made up and wasn't ready so we had to go back to reception, was given a new room which was basic and clean. Bistro style dinner and you cook your own meat. Close to shops and only 4km from Wave Rock.

  Comfortable beds

  The accommodation is clean and the room we had, had a renovated bathroom which was very nice, light and bright with a nice shower, good lighting and ventilation. The kitchenette was very convenient with a toaster/kettle, microwave and basic crockery/cutlery and fridge. The room itself which is not as modern as the bathroom & kitchenette, but updated and clean had a comfortable bed, small tv and an old but working air conditioner. Good block out curtains, so you go a good nights sleep. The property had a nice pool, onsite bar/restaurant which was busy at night, loads of on-site parking and the accommodation is close to all of Hydens attractions and town centre. What lets this Hotel/Motel down is the check-in and lack of customer service. When we arrived there was no one was on reception, we rung the bell and waited, rung the bell again and waited, wandered around the whole restaurant and hotel reception area and waited and then finally after a considerably long time we went to the public bar where the guy said he will be right with us to check us in and considerable time later he turned up and checked us in. Once in the room we only had one towel, so we went back to the public bar to get another towel only to be given two bath mats? The accommodation for its remoteness is nice, it is well located to Hydens attractions and clean, but the lack of customer service or care lets this place down. The person that checked us out was delightful and very efficient and we wondered where he was when we checked in?

  What a find!

  Kids wanted to see Wave Rock, and booked this motel for the night to break up the big round trip from Perth. What an absolute gem of a place! Service great, super clean and functional rooms, bistro fun, close to all the sights - exceeded expectations and would not hesitate to recommend.

  Disgraceful customer service, will not go back and will not recommend

  After driving four hours from Esperance at dusk we arrived expecting a meal that was promised to us after we had spoken to them about it twice prior to arriving... no they couldn't be bothered and everywhere in Hyden is closed from 9 pm so after driving all that way and not having eaten for over 9 hours we went to sleep hungry and very disappointed

  Great stay

  We had initially booked in for 2 nights, but had to leave after 1 night due to an unforeseen incident. After explaining to Tony our situation he readily offered a refund. We certainly didnt expect this, but could not be happier with the customer service and empathy. Thanks Tony! We spent the evening at the Front Bar and found it very comfy and welcoming. Ronnie was amazing. Not only was she working the bar, she would have to run off to check people into their rooms. She deserves a medal and a pay rise!!!! Thanks Ronnie. The rooms are great. Lovely bathroom and kitchenette was perfect. Overall a lovely stay and we would recommend it as a great stopover.
