  Simple but clean hotel at a good price

  We stayed here for one night on a weekend, with the three of us in a triple sharing room. The hotel is at the Waterfront area of Port Dickson (as the name suggests), about 200metres away from the beach. The location seemed ideal for families with children. The hotel has a small lobby but a long row of rooms on the second level with a long row of restaurants and shops beneath it. During our stay, the hotel seemed to be understaffed as we only had an encounter with just 1 staff who was the same receptionist during our check in - check out and the same person who delivered an iron with the ironing board to our room, upon our request. The room that we got was quite big in size, especially with regards to what we paid for the night. Furthermore, it seemed newly renovated, along with the attached washroom. Our room had a balcony which didnt really had much of a view of the porch in front of the lobby and the river stream leading to the sea. We got the chance to park our car right at the porch, right in front of the lobby. Otherwise, parking is available along the entire row of shops beneath the hotel where we did constantly see Security patrolling the area. The only cons I can think of are the lack of elevators from the lobby to the rooms on the second floor and breakfast not being provided by the hotel. Otherwise, this hotel is totally worth for what you pay for.

  A Stop for Chill Beers

  We were four friends spending a few days in Malaysia - mainly in Kuala Lumpur but we also drove to Malacca. En route to Malacca is the lovely resort town of Port Dickson. The Waterfront Boutique Hotel faces the iconic Straits of Malacca and we stopped here for chill beers and a snack. A quiet weekday and we took the opportunity to go the beach and gaze over the Straits of Malacca..... A couple of our group even went for a relaxing massage before we continued our journey to Malacca.

  Nice rooms, lacking in features and noisy neighbours

  This is a nice, modern boutique hotel. The rooms are simple and modern in style but functional. Avoid room 131 as it is right next to a night club, so you get to "enjoy" pounding music all night. Also it is next to a outside walkway, with a door that is open all the time so security must be compromised. On the plus side there is a nice view and you are only yards from the seafront. There are plenty of restaurants and cafes around for food and drink and there is ple ty of free parking right outside.

  A weekend retreat

  A pleasant view to wake up to facing the sea front and enjoying the breeze. McDonald is nearby for breakfast and in the evening, this place is full of revellers. There is also a children playground nearby which turns into a night market on a Saturday night.

  Spacious room

  Easy check in (booked and paid through agoda). No elevator, only staircase since the hotel just have 2 floors. Very spacious for executive room. Walking distance amenities i.e. bank, 7e and restaurant.
