    Quick lunch

    Stopped off our coastal walk for a quick lunch. Ye olde worldy cafe with a traditional menu. Model trains whizzing round the wall above our heads. Lovely touch for the dads and children. Egg and bacon bap with a mug of tea hit the spot. Coffee and walnut cake was so nice its a must try. Friendly staff. Nice atmosphere too.

    Go somewhere else

    Simply it's not very nice. Staff are fine but it's not cheap and the food is distinctly average, flacid chips, grey overcooked peas etc. It's not that cheap either. Popular with old people which some would say should have been a warning sign. Won't be going again. That's for sure.

    Basic but met our needs

    7 of us stayed here for one night on a golf trip. Its ideally situated in the middle of Cowes with a nice little pub next door. Rooms are very basic but were clean and were ideal for what we needed. Staff were friendly. Not a place I would come on holiday to but if you are looking for 1 or 2 nights no frills budget accommodation in Cowes then this place may be OK.

    A Proper little quirky cafe

    I visited this cafe on several occasions last week when in the area working for breakfast and a cuppa. The food was well cooked, plentiful, good value and i loved the fun atmosphere here, all complimented by all the interesting things displayed and the two helpful. friendly and professional ladies working there. All in All a lovely experience and the reason we kept returning. It has been renamed " A Place to Eat", Many Thanks ladies.

    Lovely

    We stayed at Union pub next door and breakfast was served in this cafe. What a lovely welcome from the lady behind the counter. We ordered the full English but our daughter asked for a sausage doorstep sandwich. Nothing was too much trouble and cant wait to go back this weekend for another brilliant breakfast.
