  Great Place to stay, even given a pandemic

  This is probably the 7th or 8th time we've stayed at WHI. This time things were a little different, given the Covid-19 reality we're all living with currently. We certainly missed the afternoon Wine and Cheese, and the Homemade Breakfast, both typically served in the Dining Room. Yet even though those were missing, we had a fantastic stay as usual. The rooms were clean and staff courteous and warm. We were very surprised with how much food they provide for the breakfast they bring to your room. You are able to choose what items you'd like, and they don't disappoint. We look forward to coming back again next year and hope that the pandemic will be a memory by then, but if not and it's still around, we'd be happy to stay here again given the new measures they've enacted to make sure everyone is safe and stays healthy!

  Great stay with generous breakfast

  We spent a wonderful night at the Washington House Inn recently, our second stay. The location is great and we can easily walk to all the local businesses. Although the wine & cheese is cancelled during Covid-19, we were delighted with cookies hanging on our door after arriving from dinner. It was a cold windy night and the innkeeper provided hot water, tea bags, and sugar at our request. For breakfast, we selected our options from a card the night before and were offered a reservation to eat in the dining room. When we came down at our scheduled time, our full spread was awaiting. The portions were generous and the fresh pastry options plentiful. Our bagels were prepared once we arrived and served perfectly toasted. The rooms were very clean. The staff were all masked. Very pleasant stay. We look forward to returning soon.

  Exceptional Staff

  I can't say enough about the staff at the Washington House Inn. From the moment of our arrival, we were meant to feel welcome, and there was nothing we needed that they didn't provide. The breakfast was extremely generous and the bed was very comfortable as well. Even though we were supposed to be in Italy for our 25th Anniversary, staying here for the second time was still special. We will be back.

  No Respect for a Guest's Reservation

  We booked a room at the inn. When we tried to check in, we were told there was an issue with the room and instead were being given a different, albeit more expensive, room at no additional charge. The initial thought was that there was something mechanically wrong with the room. Pursuing the reason for room's issue, it turns out we were pushed aside so the room could be given to someone else. The inn couldn't be bothered to contact us in advance to ask if a room change was acceptable. And then deceived us with a lame room issue excuse. It made us feel like unwelcome, taken-for-granted, second class, guests.

  Peaceful Historic Visit

  My husband and I enjoyed a relaxing stay at the Washington House Inn. We stayed in the Schrader house it was so warm with the fireplace and peaceful. This is one of our most favorite places to stay. It was such a joy to be in Cedarburg again. Magical with the snow falling. Thank you for being open We cannot wait until the social hour and breakfast in the beautiful gathering room can be part of the stay again
