Worst stay of our trip.Dirty sheets,Mice in the room,Ants covering the toilet. VERY rude ownerDO NOT STAY HERE!! The rooms are HORRENDOUS! On arrival, the grounds and restaurant seemed pleasant but all went downhill from there. We arrived and were shown to our room, which at first glance was basic and although we thought it ok, we were disappointed at the cost for such a poor room. When checking the bathroom, there were ants EVERYWHERE! All over the seat and long lines of them walking all over the walls. After a few minutes in the room, we discovered holes in the ceiling and saw small white mice crawling in and walking over the beams in the roof. After asking to look at another room, they showed us their only other available option. The second room smelt very damp but was marginally better than the first, so we asked to change but weren't exactly happy with the facilities. When it came to heading to bed and opening up the sheets, we discovered that it looked as though they hadn't been washed and were very damp. (see pictures). There were also slugs everywhere, no toilet roll and no water in the cistern. It was the worst nights sleep! When we spoke to the owner in the morning, he was very defensive when we brought forward our issues, saying we were the first people to ever raise issues, (he clearly hasn't looked online. Unfortunately due to poor internet while travelling, we couldn't do enough research to see the poor reviews before hand). The owner left the site and left the workers to tell us that he had given us an unacceptable discount. When we asked to talk to him he refused, and even when I called him myself, he threatened, "you are looking for trouble!" and then hung up on me. He is a very unpleasant man which I have noticed other reviews also saying the same. I never want to write a bad review but felt I had to make an exception for this place. It was just terrible and unacceptable that the owner didn't have the guts to rectify the problems himself and was so rude speaking to his guests. Granted the restaurant and grounds are nice but be warned about the rooms. They are unacceptably poor. All our other accommodation in bali was great and had the room cleaned to a good hygienic standard. For the price you pay, that should come as standard!

HorribleThe Place is among the worst places that I have ever been unlucky enough to sleep at. Damp, sticky and filthy bedding that actually had spiders living in it. Shower was over the toilet and everything so dirty and creepy. The staff didn't care less about our concerns. We were trapped because a driver dropped us there in the evening so it was impossible to find somewhere else to stay. Checked out the next day and again explained to the staff that the room was not as marketed and they complained that we were not staying for the period booked and that they would lose money. They charged us $100 for the pleasure. The grounds are beautiful so don't be deceived. The Spaghetti Bol was made with ketchup. Near the restaurant is small zoo full of distressingly sad caged animals and birds living in disturbing squalor, a chained dog and aggressive turkey of all things. Avoid at all costs.

Resort surroundings is nature & niceThe resort has over 10 villas and we were there for a Yoga Retreat. Located just opposite the Bedugul Market and within walking distance to the Lake. Resort is on a 900 feet elevation and was very cold in July around 18 degrees daytime. Villas do not have heating and blankets were not thick enough for a 16 degrees night sleep. Food served in the restaurant was good.

Nice houseI really enjoy stayed at this house. It has four rooms in one house with private bathroom. Just near to Beratan Lake. It is very cold at night. The problem is just the water heater. It is easy to find halal food near this area.

Mediocre room on a beautifull resortWe booked one room for this hotel uppn recommendation of a local. The resort is situated next to the lake, 15 minutes walk to the Pura. The resort itself is beautifull, you can have cabines with nice views over the lake. The room (1) was terrible. It is bad isolated so the mist around the mountains bring a lot of moist inside. In addition our room lies next to a mosque, who where performing loud ramadam rituals during the night. Shower is decent, toilets are clean. Beds were bad, matrasses were horrible. In overall we did not have a good night. The staff are friendly and service is ok. Book a bungalow here, backpackers should prefer a homestay. We wanted a nice hotel for a change but it backfired.
