  Sadly cannot recommend

  I'm afraid I wouldn't consider staying here again. The room was large and reception was friendly but... - the spa was discoloured, as was the water - the air conditioner was oddly placed, and did not actually cool the room - the refrigerator was faulty, and froze all of my food and drinks, resulting in over $20 of food having to be thrown out, a drink exploding, and an inability to actually have any cold drinks or food in the room - the pool was badly discoloured at the bottom and was therefore unappealing to use - don't know if it was mould or what but we didn't like the look of it - the housekeeper failed to replace the toilet paper, leaving us with none. When I asked for more I was told to go find the housekeeper and get some from her. Took 10 minutes to find her as she was in a room with the door shut. Meanwhile my 8 year old was busting to go to the toilet - surely we could have just been given some toilet paper? - housekeeping was shoddy, beds not made properly. Might sound petty but for the price I was paying I expected a bit more. I think you can get better value for money elsewhere in Warrnambool.

  Always happy

  Normally I stay at the gateway when I travel for business but this time I had my wife and 3 month old son along for a visit to the grandparents for the long weekend. As per usual the service and facilities is perfect. Brendan and Udae (site manager) organised a bigger room to accommodate all our "baby" things. As normal we had a great stay and can recommend the gateway motor inn Warrnambool for both business and holiday.

  Affordable and comfortable

  Located on the outskirts of Warrnambool this establishment offers good value and clean rooms. Great breakfast in morning. Close to McDonalds and a Woolworths. Would stay here again in future. Great value

  Ok, but not the best!!

  The carpets are old and smelly. The room has this musty smell due to the carpet being so old. The smell is so strong I could not sleep. I had to rub Vics Vaporub around my nose to dilute the smell. Also, there is only 1 washbasin. One uses the toilet and food preparations but uses the same basin. I strongly disagree that that is a hygienic provision. Walls have chipped paints. Needs a new paint job to freshen up. Also, the airconditioning/heating is too noisy. It's the older type. Even though I turned off the one in my room so I could sleep, I could hear the heating/airconditioning noise from next door. I would go to a newer or renovated accomodation next time. I enjoyed Warnambool but not the accomodation.

  Very comfortable accommodation

  I love visiting and staying in Warnnambool each year and trying new accommodation. Gateway motor inn host was friendly and very accommodating when TV didn't turn on. Breakfast, continental, was included in the fantastic online deal. Bed, great size and comfortable. Room 6 included new carpet and freshly painted. A couch, table and corner bath were great.. Even though on the main road into warrnambool it was quiet in the room, at the back. There is a major Shopping Centre across the road. I walked into town (5.4km) and was quite easy. I enjoyed the stay and already recommended to others
