  Quiet place with great views

  This was the perfect place for us - two families, each with a small child. Firstly, being up on a hill it's quiet and means there's always a breeze. I wouldn't go here without a car though (like most places in Malta). Being located in the north of the island, most of the nice beaches are just a short drive away. There's a supermarket nearby and the apartment itself, although a bit dated, had everything we could need for our stay. It was huge, meaning that we never felt cramped. It had three bedrooms, two bathrooms both with bath) large kitchen, separate dining room and two lounges as well as an enormous terrace. The lovely pool was a lifesaver for the days we arrived and left being too late/early to head to the beach with small children. There's an adjoined children's part and a proper deep part for adults to do lengths. Joe was a delight to deal with, including when our friends accidentally broke the glass in the apartment's front door in one of the strong breezes. He replaced it and didn't charge them a penny. Oh, and since our friends were newly weds, they left two bottles of prosecco and fruit out in the apartment for our arrival. Couldn't be happier:) BTW, just one thing. If no one's there when you arrive, there's a list on the office wall which will have your name and apartment number on it. You'll find the apartment unlocked and key in the door.

  First impressions

  Arrived here last night after a long day travelling. Plan was large lunch at airport - snack on plane - arrive and have a relaxing drink at bar before bed. Up next morning - buy some breakfast provisions at site shop and start our holiday off. Reality. Arrived at 9:30 to be met by a grumpy watchman who demanded to know what apartment we had (obviously didn't as we had just arrived) he had no idea where we were staying and had to borrow our taxi drivers phone to call someone. He eventually tracked someone down which he said was very unusual and we were lucky! Bar not open so no drink Shop shut down 6 years ago so no provisions Office shut so can't even call a taxi! Contacted owner by email at 9:00 am this morning and he says he will try and be here by 12:30. Place is several miles from civilisation so no bus or passing taxi. Sitting here with my family with no food or water until a car we have had to hire turns up. Wish I'd taken better notice of the no no no! Review Disgusted

  buenas vistas, mala atención

  LLegamos de noche y no había nadie para recibirnos, gracias al señor del transfer(que también llegó tarde a recogernos en aeropuerto) pudimos localizar al propietario por teléfono, este nos mandó a otro individuo que nos llevó a un apartamento que no era el que habíamos reservado tenía una habitación menos, volvimos a llamar al propietario y dijo que era imposible hasta el día siguiente cambiar de apartamento, como estábamos cansados nos quedamos esa noche ahí, colchas sucias, muebles viejos, mal olor ..en fin. Al día siguiente nos cambiaron de sitio, este mucho mejor, pero también sin tele, mebles viejos, mala presión de agua, el agua caliente se iba. De bueno tenía las vistas, buenas camas, habitaciones amplias por supuesto hace falta coche porque está muy extraviado pero esto también lo hace más encantador al estar alejado del bullicio. El wifi es con tarjeta de pago, escaso menaje de cocina, a mi entender hace falta remodelar los apartamentos. La queja principal es hacia el propietario que hizo caso omiso de nuestras quejas, aún así, recomendaría el sitio para grupo de amigos, familias etc, piscina estupenda pero con horario de baño. Recomiendo protección para mosquitos.

  Disappointing

  This is a lovely location, but the property is rather in need of some tlc. We were self catering so we were expecting something fairly basic, but had hoped to at least to have a kettle - and maybe a microwave? Having said that, some 'kind' person had left us some extremely stinky cheese in the fridge We also had to remember to allow time for the water to heat up between showers as there didn't appear to be enough in the tank for all of us to do more than have a quick wash in the morning. The rooms are enormous but the beds had seen better days and the mattresses could have done with some covers on them to stop the springs digging in. My mother found this a particular problem as she had recently fractured her wrist and found it difficult to turn over in bed without a spring digging into her bruised arm. The flies were plentiful in the evening but we had some useful citronella candles to keep the 'mozzies' at bay - mum and husband got bitten, I was fine! The views are lovely, and the setting is peaceful which was partly why we chose to stay there. The roads are not good if you have a bad back though, given the number of potholes everywhere

  Not a four star hotel

  A little disappointed this hotel is definitely not four star. Whilst all the staff were very friendly, the rooms were cleaned daily to a good standard, the corridors were not. Litter on the floor in the corridors were there the day we arrived, and still there the day we left. The food was very good but not excellent. Would I go there again, NO I Would NOT Ust a quick word about the children's play area Realy grotty not safe for children to play The gardens were well kept, a credit to those responsible.
