  Overnighter

  A really pleasant place to stay in Mudgee for the night . We came in at 9 just before they closed for the night at 930 . They had called us to make sure we were ok and on our way . The lady at checkin was lovely and friendly. She asked if we needed something to eat. Rang the local Indian restaurant and organised food for us to pick up even though the restaurant was closed already . In the morning she was delivering breakfast and gave has a pleasant morning greeting . I would recommend this place as an overnighter. Lovely staff and clean rooms with all you need for the night .

  So friendly and rooms spacious and quiet

  We moved here from the Comfort Inn as that hotel was very unfriendly on arrival no allowing us to check in one hour early despite a 6 hour drive. The Wanderlight has lovely high ceilings and rooms set back off the road. It was very clean and all staff helpful and friendly. It's also walking distance to town and there's a great little coffee shop just around the corner. Beds very comfortable and instant very hot water in the shower.

  If only the Wifi was better.

  This motel was recommended by the Visitors Centre. It is well located a short work from the town centre. We had a family room which will sleep 6 but if you've got two adults and 3 children the children can be corralled into their own room. It had all the usual things, TV with cable, A/C, tea and coffee plus a microwave and a toaster making feeding a family just a bit easier. Decor was rudimentary but clean, there were plenty of power points for charging the multitude of electronic devices a family will have. The double bed was ok. It has perhaps seen better days but was acceptable. The wifi is what let the place down. If you're travelling with a family be prepared for a chorus of kids complaining about the dropouts and slowness (or is than an NBN thing?) The staff were friendly and super quick to make up our room, we went out for a morning walk and when we returned the room had been made up. Impressive. Bit of a mixed bag in the end.

  A great location

  The rooms are large and quiet which is nice even if decor is very dated. Staff helpful and the location in town is ideal. Some lovely parks nearby including a sculpture garden. Some very good cafes etc nearby for breakfast and dinner.

  Good value!

  Dated but spacious and clean. Pleasant and helpful hosts. The rooms are poorly soundproofed - could hear a screaming child quite clearly and muffled conversation. Convenient position for a stroll into Mudgee town centre and a pub next door which offers a decent menu. We didnt use the in-house restaurant at this motel.
