  6 night at sanya

  It was the great experince for me . The weather at hear is so good and a little bit moisty and this hotel was very good it give you a very good servise but it's too expensive and they get a high rate of diposite and and the other bad thing is that the staff can't speak english. A3.

  2 or 3 star Hotel, definetly not 5

  We booked our stay Kempinski, one or two months later we were informed about owner and name change to Wanda Vista. We thought - ok, just other owner, it should be still the same standard of Kempinski five star house anyway. But we were disappointed. Unfortunately this hotel is in a bad shape, some of the buildings are completely abandoned and parts of terraces were already removed. Mostly all of outside wood parts are sunburned and dried out and outside walls are dirty like they were not cleaned or painted for years, additionally you can often see dissolving ceilings. All in one most of the time you can get the feeling to be in some abandoned place from Jurassic park. As we got there, the guys at reception were kind overwhelmed - the whole check in process took pretty long and literally 3 guys are occupied with entering the data in their computer. They didn't recognized we booked breakfast for all days, so we needed to find a voucher from our travel agency. We didn't got a hotel map, without a map you have no chance to know where is the breakfast, other restaurants, spa and so on. But after 10-15 minutes they found a map and brought it to our room. The room we got was also in pretty bad condition for a 5 star house - dirty walls, dirty shower dirty chair, dirty air condition control unit, dirty phone. Everything in the room looks very very old and very used, except the bed. We opened the piece of furniture under the tv - it was extremely bleached by the sun. Breakfast or dining - the food quality is barely ok, but not 5 star like. Anyway if you used to stay in hotels, like Kempinski, Hyatt or Mandarin Oriental - do not stay here, you will be disappointed.

  Great hotel

  We stayed at Wanda in April. Beautiful room with the bath on the balcony. Room is in a good condition and was always spotless. Breakfast buffet serve both Chinese and foreigner dishes + live kitchen with Chinese cuisine. We didn't find cheese in the buffet and asked the staff. They brought us a full plate of different cheese, which is a really good touch. Try the seafood hot pot on the first floor. It's really delicious. In general,personnel in the hotel is extremely attentive and always try to assist you in any of your needs.

  Starting look run down...

  I was here to try it out and as the news was talking about Wanda so much I thought to get a first time Wanda experience. It was not good, the staff speak barely English, the lay out is chaotic, there is maintenance all around (which it needs), the condition is poor and start to look run down. Food was ok in general but still nothing to write home about. Hard to get a good smile and seeing staff smoking in public is not what I like to see during a fresh stay at a resort. A bit disappointing to be honest...

  not a 5 star hotel

  stayed here for 4 nights. it looks quite pretty at night when it's lit but in the day it looks really run down and a little dirty. there is no sauna in this hotel plus the pools do not look clean. breakfast was quite a spread, but it was the same for the 4 times we had it. there is access to a beach the hotel about 7 min walk. it was pretty deserted unlike yalong Bay and dadong bay which is awesome. clean too! hotel does provide shuttle to sanya phoenix aiport/ China duty free mall daily but you would have to book one day before. not sure why becos when we took the shuttle to the mall it was 80% empty. the room is OK, though we felt a little cheated becos when we booked the ocean view room, and the picture showed a full ocean view from the room. however when we were there, we could only see a GLIMPSE of the ocean if we walked all the way out to the balcony. from the room, we only had the garden view. when we enquired, the staff said none of the rooms have a full ocean view. this meant tt we could not enjoy the view of the ocean from the bed, which is not what the picture depicted. if I had known, I would not have paid extra for ocean view room and would have just stuck with the garden view room. there is a bath tub in the balcony, but it can be seen from the corridor of the next block which is not very far away. u can soak in the tub naked at your own risk.
