  Nice and tasty Hotel.

  Cosy lobby with outdoor patio, small breakfast area, large dining restaurant, helpful staff; close to main bus terminal and pedestrian street. Huge bathroom, decent room (overlooks the overpass into Courmayeur, no worry - double glazed windows+no traffic after dark). Very nice choice for a stay in Courmayeur.

  Dad and I on TMB - great place

  Fabulous place to sleep for a night while my father and I did the TMB. Less than a block from downtown core. Close to road but never noticed any road noise. Great breakfast. Simple accommodations but would happily do again. Planning to return next year for a longer stay when I do the TMB again.

  Fabolous skiing trip!

  This hotel is cozy, wonderful mountain view, close to the city centre and the ski lifts. The staff is attentative to your needs. The dinner portions are hearthily bountiful with pre course, sallad buffet, main course and desserts. Everyday there is a new menue. The receptionist was very good at recommending places to visit and help out with any bookings. My brother and I felt very good taken care of. They even have a jacuzzi and sauna! We strongly recommend this place.

  Skiing trip to Italy

  For Courmayeur the hotel is well located about 400m from the main cable car up to the mountain to the main ski area and while you can ski down to the bottom you cannot get any closer to the hotel or the town centre other than using the cable car. Conditions were great and overall the holiday was really very, very good. The hotel itself was traditional, possibly a little dated in some ways but the staff and the service was excellent. The rooms again were more traditional but had pretty much everything you needed for a weeks skiing. The odd thing was the boot room was in the hotel itself and meant you had to trudge up the stairs and go through Reception to get out, not an issue but odd as I say because most hotels usually dislike ski equipment being carried through the main areas of the hotel. Now the food. Breakfast for me was the most disappointing thing as it was a continental affair with no hot option, the rest of the party seemed okay with this though. The cappuccinos though were lovely and as I'm not much of a breakfast person a coffee with maybe a boiled egg or piece of ham was enough. But then there was the evening meal as part of our half board holiday. It was huge! Sometimes even at the risk of upsetting our hosts we had to add the word small to our portions for dinner. And by and large the food was excellent, as you would expect most meals contained pasta but other local alternatives were on offer, (the veal was especially good). In fact most times there were at least 3 choices of starter, main course and desert. It has to be the first ski holiday I've been on where I think I gained weight! So overall a fantastic stay at the Walser and if anyone is thinking of staying there go for it it's well worth the 4 out of 5 I've given as a score, (it would have been 4.5 out of 5 if we could have given it that).

  Warmest place on earth!

  The Walser hotel was the most beautiful hotel I stayed in on my trip to Europe. Firstly, after a long day of backpacking the meals filled me well and tasted amazing, true Italian cuisine. The welcoming staff and the ambiance just added to this pleasure. Everyone was so eager to converse with me about my trip and the staff were always smiling and ready to help with whatever I needed. It was overall such an amazing experience and when I go back to Courmayeur I hope to stay there again for the true Italy experience.
