  Great owner, delicious free breakfast!

  I would like to point out things that were confusing to me first. The hotel is located in a quiet residential neighborhood which is about 12 minute drive from Lubeck oldtown. There are ample signs for the hotel, but keep in mind that the sign says Hotel Twiehaus (we missed it at first because I was looking for Waldhotel:) If you are going to Lubeck in the evening it's better to take a bus, because parking is hard to find. The buses run once in half hour - at 28 and 58 minutes. Take a picture of the name of the stop because bus drivers are not very helpful. However in the morning you can drive, public parking is available along the river. And on Sundays buses run only once an hour. You can walk everywhere in Lubeck. I'd say, for the price it was worth staying out of the actual town. The hotel has lots of charming details and very homy feel. We got the room for 3 adults, it was small but very clean. Breakfast was amazing and free. The woman who runs the place made sure everyone was happy with their breakfast. She was very genuine and friendly. The hotel also had free wi-fi and free parking which was great. I would definitely stay there again.

  Friendly and welcoming

  We arrived quite late in the evening and hungry. The lovely owner organised some food and made us feel welcome. (I was only expecting a sandwich but we were presented with a salad followed by schnitzel and potatoes). The breakfast was excellent and the newly refurbished dining room very smart. The bedroom and bathroom were spotless. We would not hesitate in staying there again. This place is a true example of personal service and pride.

  Good place to rest after trip...

  Hotel is near beautiful Lubeck town . It is good place to sleep well (silece,confortable bed) . Breakfes is delicious and full of . Very nice breakfest room . Wi Fi is not good . Big and safe parking place .

  Quiet

  Somewhere during a 700 km long drive, I wrote to the hotel: "we might be late". I recieved the reply: "we wait for you". It's a small hotel outside Lübeck, "the first after the ferries" but very nice. Generous and warm welcome, simple but nice and very quiet rooms. The surroundings and the staff makes up for the little weaker breakfast.

  We spend one night here in our honeymoon trip. Very good service! Friendly and familiar hotel! We definitely recommend this hotel! Hopefully we will come back on our anniversary!!! Breakfast was good!
