  "Accommodating and welcoming"

  A unique family-run hotel in a quiet part of Adelboden. We got a very warm reception and superb assistance with power adaptors and great Wi-Fi. Had a very nice room in the upper part of the hotel with lovely views from the balcony. Common rooms very homely and complimentary afternoon tea and coffee in the lounge was available. Very good buffet breakfast selection. Evening meals also enjoyable. Very friendly staff.

  Superb traditional family hotel

  Jackie and her father Kurt offer the kindest, most efficient service one could ever hope for. This is a long overdue review after staying a week at their hotel in July 2018. Decor is traditional but rooms are spotlessly maintained. Bathrooms are perfect for families on multi-week stays: lots of storage & counterspace, and even drying racks. Beds are firm & comfortable. Plenty of desk space and seating in our rooms. The location is a plus - an easy walk to all the ski lifts, but just far enough from the main drag to ensure quiet when you need it. Food is superb: Jackie's husband is the chef and his cooking is all fresh simple takes on traditional dishes without unnecessary flourishes, while Kurt presides over an extensive cheeseboard of delicious local cheeses. Breakfast, needless to say, is extensive and varied with plenty of options to keep you well fueled for a day of hiking or skiing. This hotel is something of an endangered species - a moderately priced family-run hotel with beyond 5-star service. Everyone at the hotel, from the cleaners to the waitstaff, was incredibly prompt, helpful, and unobtrusive and subtly well coordinated. Jackie in particular is a superstar manager - she found us a local taxi service for our transfer from Zurich airport that was half the price of any car service we could book online. Whatever request we had, she talked us through our options and offered us advice on the optimal approach, whether it was a sauna session or taking the local buses to start a walk.

  Friendly, comfortable hotel

  This traditional, cosy hotel is incredibly friendly and welcoming. The staff are very helpful and keen to ensure that you enjoy your stay and are comfortable. My room was very clean and comfortable and had a fantastic view of the mountains.There is a free safe and free wifi. There was also a complimentary bottle of water. You can ask to have your bedlinen and towels changed. The breakfast was good and the food at dinner well-cooked and delicious. At four o'clock there is tea/coffee/biscuits in the bar area. The hotel is at the end of the village but within easy walking distance to the shops and the little bubble down to the skiiing area.

  Huge room, great location

  Loved our stay. We enjoyed the big room and even bigger bathroom - the kids especially liked the almost free standing bathtub. Breakfast was good enough, though not outstanding. But you could shape the"Hobelkäse" on your own. Delicious the cheese. A big plus too: direct access to the public bath.

  Fantastic food in Hotel Huldi

  Truly delicious kitchen in a homey and friendly atmosphere. A little gourmet restaurant in a typical old style Swiss Hotel from which the village of Adelboden, ski slopes and walking paths are easily accessible. We will come again.
