Hawaii/Florida like beach in JapanRoom was a bit small but the futon style bedding was superbly comfortable. iPad system was interesting and never seen in Japan. Food was excellent, breakfast was a little too much, but nothing beats the view from the room.

Great recommedation from a friend. My friend recommended me to this hotel. I took my bicycle and had a great ride around the Chita Penninsula. Had some Chita whiskey at the lobby so I was set for a good stay to begin with. The rooms were renovated and felt new. After a nice morning onsen we had in room breakfast facing the beach. A very nice package of experience thats not main stream.

SublimeWe stayed here for two nights during our month long vacation to Japan. Wanted to dedicate some time to truly resting and relaxing instead of running around, catching shinkansen and touristing. Boy did we feel like we picked the right place! The room was incredibly well appointed, tons of pillows and amenities and the view was superb. Upon arriving to the local subway station, we called the hotel and they came straight away to pick us up. When we arrived, we were greeted by several staff at what felt like and individual welcome, which was just super inviting and started us off just right. We sat down at a sofa and were served some matcha and a sweet while staff checked us in. Luggage was taken to our rooms for us. We chose times at the private baths right then and easily received our first choices. Room was teched out and the ac was powerful. The sound system was great; we spent many hours reading and gazing at the ocean while listening to the jazz we piped through the speaker. Dinner was extensive, private, and also heavenly. Courses came one at a time with a mostly English elaboration and definitely was swanky. Some unique dishes that were absolutely amazing - for example, horse sashimi (they checked with us the first night to make sure it wasn't a surprise on our night two dinner) and a stunning crab tempura with matcha salt were some standout dishes. Breakfast was unassuming but also delicious and filling, with cooked fish, rice, and miso being the staples. There seemed to be a specific staff (better English) member "assigned" to us, but even when she wasn't around, the staff were more than helpful and easy to communicate with. On checkout they drove us back to the subway station for our departure. Tea and coffee were free, the wine bar in the lobby is self-service but tracks consumption so you pay when you check out. The baths we had were also stunning and so relaxing. I'd recommend the rooftop in the summer as it's a bit cooler, we overheated a bit in the semi-open air (but that one would be excellent in the cooler months). They do have public baths as well which were huge, fully enclosed, and felt like a sauna. No mention of a tattoo policy (we both have several) but it didn't seem to be an issue. HIGHLY recommended! What a great place to stay at the beach!

Fantastic service, rooftop onsenThe staff here were very helpful, and our toddler loved all the attention he got. Amazingly, having forgotten our buggy at the hotel in our rush to get to the station, we phoned the hotel and they somehow managed to get the buggy to us at our next hotel (several hours' journey away) on the same day, without us asking. Exemplary service. Breakfast was a beautiful traditional meal, and in the evening we made use of the rooftop onsen. We booked for around sunset, which was just perfect.

Superb blend of modern and traditionalQuite possibly my favourite place to stay so far. I have stayed there twice and both times have been exceptional. Private baths can be booked on a balcony, the rooftop at sunset is an absolute must.. the bedroom are so spacious, the beds are low in a traditional way but so so big and comfortable. There is a tablet to program lights and music, a very good coffee machine and the view is magical. I stay in many hotels worldwide but this is my favourite..
