  Casa preciosa, exquisitamente decorada. Las habitaciones son amplias, cómodas y lujosas, con una vista al jardín maravillosa. Ellos son encantadores y discretos, deseosos de tu experiencia sea agradable. Especial mención al desayuno - impresionante: mucha variedad, todo casero y de excelente cualidad. El mejor desayuno que hemos tomado en Nueva Zelanda.

  Stupendous!

  Ann and Blyth were such gracious hosts and their home is beautiful and relaxing. It's a ways out of Wanaka, but i think that's one of it's advantages. It's maybe 15-20 minutes if you want to drive into town, and by being out in the valley you get to experience peacefulness. We were lucky enough that our one night there was on a clear night and we were able to get out and see the Milky Way, something we don't get that many chances to do. Blyth's dinner was beautifully prepared, and he went out of his way to make sure that we had meals that we enjoyed. Breakfast was awesome and the local honey he served was scrumptious. We also enjoyed our interactions with the other guests.

  Superb stay!

  We stayed for 2 nights in February with friends and absolutely loved it. The location is just as other reviewers have described - very peaceful with lovely views all around, and especially from the terrace. The rooms are very comfortable and Ann and Blyth made us feel most welcome in their beautiful home. They looked after us in an attentive but understated way. Blyth's cooking was fabulous - we had dinners on both nights as we didn't want to drive into Wanaka - and were very glad that we did. A great area for walking, which was much needed to work off at least some of the food and wine consumed. Enjoyed meeting other guests too. Would highly recommend.

  A perfect retreat

  My husband, 9 year old son and I recently enjoyed the most wonderful stay at Waiorau Homestead. We initially booked for a few nights and decided to extend due to its perfect location and the hosts, Anne and Blyth. Nothing was too much trouble for them and they certainly went out of their way to accommodate our needs on more than one occasion. We stayed in both the self-contained Studio and guest rooms inside the house, which were spotlessly clean and tastefully decorated. We particularly enjoyed sitting by the fireplace with a lovely glass of Cardrona Pinot Noir in the living room and around the fire pit outside, toasting marshmallows. The Homestead is situated quite literally at the bottom of Cardrona, seconds from the road up the mountain for skiing. There is a gorgeous pub and general store two minutes drive up the road and lots of trails. We highly recommend it and feel it suitable for all travellers. We will definitely be returning!

  Wonderful accomodation!

  We loved our time here. Beautiful accomodation, friendly and caring hosts, delicious and generous breakfast. A few mins away from the Cardrona Skifield lower car park. Awesome spa after skiing! We cant wait to go back!
