  Long weekend at Vue Grande

  On arrival we received a very warm welcome from Keith and his wife. They led us to our booked room which was beyond our expectation considering what we had previously experienced whereby what you saw on internet differs from what you see when you arrive. The Self Catering apartment was marvelous, spacious and very clean with a well designed kitchenette. The place and atmosphere is so homely and in a quiet area fit for relaxing. We enjoyed our stay and we will definitely visit again and stay longer and enjoy a boat ride. Keep up and maintain your high standards Keith.

  lovely and spacious rooms, ideally located on quiet Leisure Island but not far from knysna centre. very welcoming host. we had a relaxing time and would go back again to stay.. beautiful beach nearby.

  Missed out on a wonderful holiday!!

  My family and I were due to visit this delightful home on Leisure island during this holiday break - we have heard many great things about this place and Keiths reputation as an attentive host has been widely shared on many reviews. Sadly, we have had to cancel our trip for medical reasons. Keith was very supportive and understanding, communicating frequently with me to answer any questions and address possible concerns we had. We definitely feel like we have missed out on a lovely family holiday but we do hope to be able to visit sometime soon!

  Sadly, after an excellent booking made through Booking.com, Vue Grande treated me appallingly. I was received well by owners Keith and wife Elizabeth and as a responsible professional person told them Id travelled from U.K. through France to Jhb and then on to George in Western Cape Knysna. That I would carry my own suitcase and that Id been screened at Oliver Tambo and had decided to self Isolate and grandchildren would not join me until later. They remained at an acceptable social distance. Id had several flights cancelled and was exhausted. They started shouting at one another and several hours later I called on my mobile phone to ask what the problem was. Vue Grande owners asked me to vacate the apartment. I was stranded. I had children in Knysna but they had very vulnerable children and elderly folk and with Coivid19 where was I to go. Sure I get Keith & Elizabeths concern but until today I have yet to get my Deposit returned. I was an amputee exhausted from travelling. There were no other bookings and I was willing to stay indoors the next 14 days-The President declared a Lockdown from Thursday midnight? I was offered a chalet at Belvidere Manor by Mike & Sue Mills, Annelize Bain from Knysna Heights- I would recommend both the latter at the drop of a hat but Vue Grande, 17 Hart Road, Leisure Isle, Knysna, Western Cape South Africa will not see me again

  Vue Grande is the most amazing place to stay while experiencing Knysna and all it has to offer. Being located on the idyllic Leisure Isle with views of the famous Knysna heads and the lagoon right there at your disposal makes for an unforgettable holiday experience. Leisure Isle is such an amazing place, it's such a tranquil place with loads of beautiful trees and gardens that flow to the waters edge in places. You can walk the whole island and just take in the views, whether along the quiet narrow lanes or along the mud flats at low tide. You can often even walk across to the Knysna heads when the tide is very low. The lagoon is a wonderful place to swim/fish/SUP/water-ski or kayak - name a water activity and you can do it all. The Vue Grande accommodation is the perfect place to stay while doing all these things - it is spacious, modern and has all the comforts and more of home but with a view in the most amazing setting.
