  Good value getaway from Moscow

  Vozdvizhenskoe offers a good value weekend getaway from Moscow. The hotel is clean and lively. One night stay is enough to enjoy the hotel and large grounds. Train from Kurskaya station to Avangard is the most reliable way to get to the hotel. Once the train arrives at Avangard, cross the tracks and walk 100m to find the back entrance to the hotel. You will not find other foreigners here. The hotel is popular with Russian families, and there are large numbers of activities on offer for children. Free wifi is available around the hotel grounds. All inclusive option includes breakfast, lunch and dinner in the 'Le Dome' restaurant (picture attached). I was pleased with the dinner, but breakfast and lunch were not at the same standard. Beer and house wine is also included in this option - but only available during meal times. There are other restaurants on site, notably the Cape Town Bar, which offered much more impressive drinks and food (not all-inclusive). The hotel has a swimming pool located in a different building within the grounds. There is also a beach, although swimming in the lake is not allowed. There is a wakeboarding machine, Russian banya, bike renting services, row boats, tree top adventure area, football pitches and tennis courts. Flyers on the tables advertised an 18+ 'Strip Show' from 23:30 in the Cape Town Bar, although as we didn't go I can't comment on what this entailed...

  Two nights in Vozdvizhenskoe

  Small room and bathroom. Very noisy - weak sound insulation. Not attractive odours at reception and at the corridors. Not friendly personnel - very official. Food is not bad, but breakfasts not vary from day to day. Wi-Fi is not good - no internet access from time to time. Probably the hotel is good for the grandparents with the babies. Bathing in the lake near the hotel is forbidden. I intended to go to this hotel for summer vacation with my family, but then refused this idea after visiting the hotel after two nights during business trip. The quality is not match the price.

  Well maintained but "cold".

  It's good, beautiful place with typical Russian nature: big oak trees, green lawns, blue lakes. You can find there some activities: riding on bicycle, football and and volleyball fields, walks for jogging or strolling. But on the gate you is "welcomed" by guy in a solder uniform and another solder will give you way out after cheek out. The receptionists never give you smile as the barmen too. The price in the restaurant is very expensive: they could make more money by more guests in the restaurants. The room for two persons was really small - just 2 small beds and one small table. I don't recommend the room for family staying.

  Good hotel, but not check-in / check-out process

  Been to this hotel with friends. First up- we had to wait for 45 mins until we got our room- thats way too long. One of the receptionists were very rude. Overall- very nice surroundings, nice lake and facilities. Dinner could be prolonged after 21:00, breakfast could be richer.

  Great winter vacations

  Great architecture of the place with harmony of beautiful nature around. Clean rooms, friendly staff, tasty food, fair prices. Many attractions on the territory (skiing, skating, swimming pool, spa, billiards ping pong, slot machines... duck feeding!). Easy to reach with different transport (car and public)
