  Lovely if you want to sunbathe

  On leaving the airport,it is almost a 2 hour transfer, don't be put off by the poor state of the roads and all the rubbish that is left at the sides of the roads, the grounds of the complex were immaculate and the living accommodation was excellent, very clean and modern inside The reception area was well staffed and all staff were very polite. The big let down was the food, although a great variety, the food that was supposed to be hot was anything but, the plates were all cold, hence leaving warmed food cold...very disappointing. Not a lot to do at the resort, yes you could catch the buggy's down to the beach (they ran frequently) or relax by the pool, but that's about it, if you are considering going then do your homework and may be consider hiring a car. Very little was translated into English (pre dinner gatherings were all in Italian and geared towards the Italian visitors).

  Coffee Shop

  Very friendly staff showed us a couple of sights and directed us to a very good art gallery. The place is beautiful, and this would have been our choice in hotel is Sicla. What a beautiful town! Worth a trip.

  Superb Relaxing Break

  We went on an all inclusive package which is advisable as the cost of food & beverage is expensive. Beautiful Pool and reception area. accommodation is manageable but clearly needs modernising and tidying up to come up to the standard of the remainder of the resort. Beware the accommodation is some distance from the pool/reception/restaurant area up a steep hill- there are golf buggies running but they are hit or miss. Another issue we experienced is on arrival - our coach dropped us some 400m from the reception in 38C heat and we had to make our own way upto the reception - no explanation given..Resort not suitable for those with mobility issues. The BIGGEST of all issues however - is the resort's attitude to WATER. on arrival you will have 2 small bottles of still and sparkling water in your room. These will NOT be replaced. We took bottles up to the bar to fill up for the room and staff although they mostly did fill them stated they were not allowed to by management and indeed often had to disguise what they were doing - this resulted in us just ordering several cups of water and filling them up ourselves...Absolutely RIDICULOUS. Another issue to be aware of and to consider - the resort is totally Isolated there is a small village some mile from the drop off on the beach and a SPAR and Pharmacy present down a side street. Other than this the nearest town is some 20-30 minute taxi ride away..Also the transfer from Catania Airport is 2 HOURS.. Overall totally relaxing and enjoyable holiday in searing temperatures..Beautiful resort and grounds. Would have scored this as 5 but for the attitude towards Water which we found Incredulous.

  Avoid it at any cost

  This hotel is trying to present itself as a luxury resort. Its not, not even close. Rooms are poor and service is pathetic. Hotel map locates it near the beach. There is about 2 km to the beach (they do offer a shared golf car transport). Reception service was terrible. Even while they sent me an email with a request to fill Covid related information beforehand, and I did, we had to do it again in paper on arrival. They had never heard of any online form. Wifi was protected, but nobody informed us the password. Room given to us was not cleaned. Rooms are in small houses arranged as blocks. Blocks have names, but rooms in different blocks have same numbers. Therefore, there are a dozen rooms numbered 102, for example. Im convinced they have a lot of problems in people getting into wrong rooms by mistake. Keep you room locked all the time! Locking of the door is a bit complicated though... I hope you are not easily disturbed. When your neighbor flushes the toilet it sounds like Niagara falls. Parking is hundreds of meters from the room. There was no service from parking place to the room. Buffet dinner was quite poor, breakfast as well. There is a nice 50 meter swimming pool but water was very cloudy. Neither was it open at 8 am when it wouldnt be crowdy. They also forgot to inform us at check-in that check-out is at 10:00 am but did it by calling 10:15. I find absolutely no reason to choose this hotel.

  Quality Resort with Private Facility at Beautiful Beach of Sampieri

  We chose the spot by its location close to a wonderful sandy beach at Sampieri. Efficient Cart transportation every 15 minutes from the resort to the beach. Private bar and free beach activities. Super friendly staff. Spacious rooms. Well maintained. 2x room service per day. Quite good food quality for a buffet. Negatives: air conditioning lacking cooling power. Around the clock music at the busy but very spacious pool.
