  Fantastic service & beautiful rooms

  Just spent 3 nights at Voco Solihull for a socially distanced business meeting. The conference room was immense & therefore strict social distancing remained in place at all times.The staff were extremely professional & couldn't do enough for us. Jane & her team deserve huge praise for all their efforts. Ashley, Marie-Claire, Bintou & Janice thank you once again!!

  A little gem

  The Voco turns out to be a boutique-style hotel (but with incredibly reasonable prices) in a residential area of Solihull where you wouldn't expect to find one! The rooms are large and very comfortable (we were upgraded to a Deluxe King as IHG Spire) and look newly-refurbished. The breakfast at £10 (make sure you book in advance) was an excellent spread of hot and cold items. The dining area looks out onto the green outdoor space behind the hotel, which makes for a very pleasanrt atmosphere. We pre-booked the leisure facilities so had the luxury of having the pool for 2 of us - our first swim since lockdown started. My only quibble would be that there was no prior warning that the hot tub wasn't working, and in the bathroom the shelves are right at the other end from the sink, which makes getting to your toiletries a bit of a nuisance! Overall, very impressed, though and special thanks to the lady who seemed to work 24/7 running the bar and breakfast servivce!

  Lovely modern room, very comfortable and great nights sleep!

  The room is decorated lovely and modern. The room was really big and the bed was the most comfortable hotel bed Ive stayed on. Despite being so close Tot the centre of Solihull, very peaceful Room and didnt hear any traffic inside. The leisure facilities let the place down. The swimming pool was ok, a little small. The hot tub not working and because of Covid restrictions the rest of facilities not open.

  Lovely Hotel, Expensive Parking

  We stayed on Saturday night and found the hotel easily. Paid £45 for the night through laterooms.com, which was a good price. It was really close to the town centre, so great for drinking and dining out. The room was clean and really beautifully decorated, very quiet too until about 7:30am, so we got a good night sleep Didnt use the leisure facilities or dining facilities so cant comment There were a lot of guests not wearing face masks which was disappointing as there were signs everywhere and staff didnt ask them to put on a mask. Only down side is the onsite car park is £10 for 24 hours which I wasnt aware of when booking and usually when you are staying at a hotel parking is free, so maybe that is something the management can consider.

  Good but as they know it cojuld have been much better for me

  The VOCO Hotel in Solihull has been refurbished to a nice standard and I am sure would normally be a superb place to stay. Location is marvellous for the town centre, a five-minute stroll away and for the public transport exchange including the railway station which is only ten minutes flat walk away. When I resided here for two nights I encountered some issues which caused my requirement to draw this to the attention of the management; it is testimony to the excellent customer service levels of the hotel that my complaint was listened to, understood and satisfactorily resolved by the hotel management as a matter of urgency. Not every time that you stay away everything goes to plan however when matters go wide of the mark it is the direction that the company takes which, in my eyes, show the company in the true light. Here the management and staff were excellent and I was happy that they had learnt from my below par experience; therefore I would return and recommend the hotel.
