  Value for money, great business hotel

  Stayed for a night on a business trip to Kediri. Great business hotel in terms of room size and cleanliness. Unfortunately lighting in bathroom is a bit dark, and sink size is very small. Breakfast buffet is adequate, taste good although lack of varieties.

  Budget hotel

  There is a lot budget hotel in this area, but this hotel offers strategic location (near to market and city center) and standard service levels (clean, comfortable etc). Although I expected more spacious room from front one hotel chain, this hotel is no 1 alternative if I want to stay at (budget) hotel.

  Certainly not the best

  This hotel is ranked number one hotel in Kediri by the time I write this review, but I wonder why.. Cons: - Very small room. I've been to budget hotels with small rooms but this is even smaller than that. Room has no cupboard, has no storage space to place my suitcase, has no refrigerator or safe box. - Ridiculous car park. They have a basement car park but it's a one way route. It's also cramped. If you park your car inside, to bring your car out you have to go reverse until you reach the exit. - I was previously assigned to a room very close to the lobby, it was noisy. I can even hear cars passing the street. I asked to switch rooms, luckily got one on the third floor, farther back. The room isn't perfectly soundproofed. I can clearly hear people walking and talking in the alley. - Poor hotel amenities. There are two cups but what are those for? There is no electric kettle, no complimentary tea or coffee, no spoon. Just cups. - Bathroom is very small. The wash basin is so small I keep on wetting my trousers every time I brush my teeth or wash my face. - Hotel location is not strategically located in the center of the city. It's pretty much far from everything else. In the evening, hotel surroundings go dark. - Poor TV quality. Not many channels available and the picture quality is very poor. - No Wi-Fi internet. Yes, the claim they have free internet through Wi-Fi and they will give you the SSID and password but the signal strength is so weak. I end up not using the Wi-Fi. Actually this is the first hotel which I do not use Wi-Fi since the beginning of an era where Wi-Fi is freely available on hotels all around the globe. Pros: - Hotel staffs are kind and helpful. They always greet guests with smile. - Good enough for a night sleep There are other bigger, better (yet older) hotels other than Viva. It's better to stick with the big names. Only choose this hotel when others are full on the day of your visit.

  Great Hotel

  I always stay at VIVA Hotel during my business trip, every month, sometimes twice a month. This cute hotel meets our company budget, yet cozy and clean. But I like the most is their warm hospitality. Easy to book through booking apps or webs, fast check-in process, nice atmosphere, quick respons from staff. Cannot ask for more from budget hotel. But for travellers with family, room size might be too small. Cheers..

  Awesome staff

  We have stayed at Viva Hotel for the time. We love the location, the friendly staff who almost treat you like family once they get to know you. What a fabulous experience. I would not hesitate to recommend the hotel to all who want a stay and pleasant holiday in this lovely part of east Java. For a little extra, treat yourself to visit simpang lima gumul with builded as Middle East architecture .
