  good value for the money

  We could not find any hotel in the region anymore, except Vitalhotel. The website doesn't promise too much, it speak about a historic stylish ambience....and that is true. it is a typical old styled German small village hotel. No glamour, everything sober. Exactly how they position themselves and what they deliver. The rooms could be your grandma's bedroom, but they are clean and spacious. Hotel offers a good Wifi service. The staff is super friendly. You are treated like a guest. Breakfast is good, many 4/5 stars hotels can learn from it. Conclusion: A very friendly historic small village hotel, where the time had no influence. Absolutely worth the money

  Good hotel overall but needs some modernisation

  We stayed here for a weekend (2x overnight). It was an Animod offer package with evening mean and breakfast included. It was good value but I don't think I will use Animod again in this way as you are restricted to certain weekends. We didn't use the hotel's wellness facilities but they looked decent. We opted to use the Bad Harzburg Sole-Therma (very good) with the voucher included in the package. The breakfast and evening meal were very good. Overall the service was very good. All the staff were helpful and pleasant. The room was a twin. It was a good size with plenty of storage for clothes etc. The bathroom was clean and fairly modern. No bath though. The shower was good with inclusive shower gel. The beds were comfortable. The only downside is that the place is well past it's due date for a renovation. It is clean and tidy but the furniture in the rooms and dining area is about 20 years out of date. It is crying out for a refurb by a designer with good taste. I realize that this would cost hundreds of thousands to do but the hotel would benefit greatly.

  Beautiful hotel and a relaxing atmosphere

  I had a wonderful stay at Vitalhotel. The rooms were spotless and the bed super comfy. I was recovering from a slipped disk and it was the perfect place to relax and be pampered with the spa/wellness services. Breakfast is well stocked and the staff is super friendly and they really make you feel at home.
