OK holiday but would not returnWe traveled from Manchester to Varna 27th July 2019 staying here for 2 weeks 9 of us travelling, the flight was great and we got on the coach no problem, we were 1st drop off, we arrived a man came and grabbed my suitcase off me and walked 7 steps at the most we stood at the check in desk at reception and he stood there with his hand out waiting for me to pay him..... It was intimidating and the hotel did nothing about it. Also we stayed here 2 weeks we were collected at 04.45am and the same men were stood there waiting with the coach and grabbing suitcases off you and then chasing you and giving you abuse if you did not pay them. This is a massive reason for us not to return, all the places we have visited and stayed we have never had this rudeness and intimidation. We stayed in the Villas which were quite far from the hotel but easy enough for us to get around. This place is not recommended for people with mobility issues as there are lots of steps and hills and walking. The villas were great brilliant sizes lots of room and storage no complaints at all with these, 3 balconies they are set in a forest so you do get bugs and flying things but keep the mosquito door closed and you will be OK. Restaurant this was a nightmare everyday, not enough tables for the amount of guests, Guests really rude pushing and shoving to get to the front of the que or sending a child to wait in line and then 10 would join when they got near the front. As English people we have manners and we que and say please and thank you, some of the guests needed lessons in manner as they are so very rude and impolite and so were their children. Food you que 20-30 minutes for chips people are pushing in it was stupid how they just had one fryer and the waiting was ridiculous. Seating is a joke you walk around like an idiot for half an hour come times 45 minutes hoping to find a table to sit at staff are not interested in helping in the restaurant and just stand talking to each other rather than being helpful. What I found unusual you didn't get ice cream in the restaurant, we have stayed all over the globe and always we have had ice cream in the restaurant. The beach was brilliant and the free bus turned up on time everyday, free loungers and umbrellas were provided also it was all inclusive and the "green forest bar" you helped yourself to drinks and it was a hot buffet style food place. Plenty of seats and lots of room. The toilets ended up like an ice rink and you slipped all over but hey it's free and all part of the fun. The bar staff were OK they didn't always understand English and the beer was very weak, being in Bulgaria you have to pay for Malibu and other spirits where in Spain it is included in your all inclusive as are cocktails, these also had to be paid for. They had a concert one night which was free and was very enjoyable to watch you just got ate alive by mosquitoes. Reception need to explain where places are to you when you check in, we had no idea where the restaurant was or the pool. The pool bar was also closed you had to use like a wooden hut where you could get drinks and ice cream from. They cannot class this hotel as all inclusive no snacks or what you think would be snacks they provided a tray with soggy funny tasting biscuits and say that they are snack this is rubbish and the biscuits were disgusting. Shop on site was good, shopkeeper spoke no English but we did communicate quite well with her. Entertainment none existent, the entertainers walked around like zombies you could tell they didn't want to be their, they made no effort and were just boring and not entertaining one bit, they offered us a beach party at night, this was to get you away from the hotel and into a bar in town where you had to buy beer and other drinks nothing was included see as we were all inclusive. The Water park was brilliant and part of our All inclusive, thank god for the water park, it was a brilliant place to go and spend the day or a few hours. This is what saved our holiday having this within a 10 minute walk of our villas. Prices weren't too bad for drinks but food was a bit expensive. Ques were not too big and they played English chart music, loungers and umbrellas were also free here. Area was beautiful and weather was lovely, we would go back to Bulgaria but not to Vita Park.

Value for money at a cost.Ok this was booked as a budget holiday and we are aware that you are getting a lot for your money, there are a lot of factors to the holiday and I will try and break them down. We stayed in the villas of vita park cheaper than the main hotel. Upon check in at 2am we were given our keys 4 plates of food and sent on our way to find our villa. Now trying to pull a suit case with back pack and carry plates of food while going up steps is interesting. When we got to the apartment we found we had a fridge why our food couldn't of been left in there is beyond me, we then found we had to make our beds as the duvet covers hadn't been put on (no double duvet for the double bed, 2 singles). The apartment is fine, double room, 2 single beds with a telly both with air con, separate toilet and shower room, living room with telly 3 small balconys. This was kept clean with daily visits from the cleaner, with 4 bath and hand towels daily and fresh sheets mid week. The hotel is good, lobby with reception main bar and seating, little shop (more expensive than local shops) with outdoor seating. There is a large pool for swimming, and a lower pool with with sloped entry and 2 little slides, there is normally seating available, unfortunately some rude people like to reserve the best loungers all day and not even be on site to use them. A little walk from the pool is an outdoor bar that also has ice cream cones available and biscuits in the afternoon. There is table tennis, volley ball and a exercise deck. A 5 minute walk from the hotel is the aqua park which you have unlimited access to, this was the star attraction of our holiday, you do not get any food or drink included here (it is available to buy but expensive), but there is ample loungers available and the park it self is awesome, 4 good slides a huge lazy river (with an off shoot bit with waves at certain times) a toddler zone and kiddy zone and a couple of dunk slides. We used this most days and it made our stay. You can walk to the beach it's about 15/20 minutes, there is a free air conditioned shuttle bus every half hour until 6.30 which proved handy a couple of times. On the hotels area of the beach there are plenty of loungers free for your use with a little table and umbrella the beach is lovely with plenty of water activities you can pay to do (jet ski was £25 for 2 riders for 10 minutes), the sea was nice with a gradual depth good for play unfortunately on our last day there were a lot of jelly fish and 3 of us got stung (not badly but hurt similar to stinging nettles). There is a beach restaurant you can use when all inclusive , it serves a limited menu and has drinks available all food and drink is to be consumed at the restaurant and not taken out. Unfortunately the women's toilets here were left horribly by other guests and as it was all outdoor there was a lot smoking from guests. Just off the beach is the main shopping street that had many trinket shops street food and a couple of supermarket's. The hotels restaurant is just across the road from the main hotel, breakfast was good with fresh pancakes (always a queue) no bacon and no real sausages (hot dog style) lots of eggs available fried, scrambled and omelette, loads of bread but toaster was useless. Lunch was good fresh cooked meat, hot accompanyments, Salads, cheese, soup and the show stopper fresh baked pizza, a selection of cold puddings (cakes and baclava)and plenty of fruit (watermelon was lush). Dinner was the same really except there was the addition of chips which always had a queue. Unfortunately 3 of our party had stomach bugs leading to one of us being sick (we stuck to bottled water after this even for brushing teeth and didn't have another big problem) I can't say if this was from food, water or just a bug but a lot of English visitors expressed they had this problem. Sometimes you had to wait for a seat and the air con was a little intermittent at times, the out door seating was unfortunately spoilt by the fact that you knew if you sat there that an adjacent tabbed would start smoking. There is available a meal in the a-a-carte which wood have been nice but I enquired about this to our Bulcan Holidays rep on our first day he said it wasn't available for the period of our visit, we found out a couple of days later that it was but when we tried to book we were told it was fully booked for the rest of our stay so missed out on that experience. Drinks available on all inclusive were fizzy (Pepsi, lemonade, orangeade, 7up) tea, coffee (which was horrible),water, beer and house spirits (served in undrinkable measures) no cocktails these were extra so limited, unless you like beer and spirits. Service was tolerable, most staff seemed to put up with you rather than welcome you, which is a shame as this put a very drab feeling on to the holiday. The entertainment crew were a little lack lustre there were various kids clubs running in the day, a dance by the pool before water polo in the afternoon and an evening activity (kids dance, then quiz or show, one night they took us to beach front bar for beach party with cheap drinks it was a good night but didn't see our rep once we got in but we wouldn't have known about it without them). The polo was an issue as the foreign holiday makers were overly rough and didn't care that kids were playing, and most of the British didn't join in because of this and the animation team did nothing to stop their behaviour. So all in all a few ups and downs the one thing I will say is you get amazing value for money last year we rented a place in the UK for £1200 and this was booked for just under £2000 that is all inclusive with flights and transfer. And we could accept most of the issues but unfortunately the rudenessof the other holiday makers (not the Brits) and nonchalant 'we will put up with you as your paying' attitude of most of the staff really over shadowed the mood of the holiday. We booked through 'not just travel' who were awesome they found us a holiday to suit our requirements kept in contact before and after our holiday and were very helpful.

Not as bad as everyone is making out.The rooms are ok,food is ok,hotel is ok. Im really funny about food and cleanliness and I didnt have a problem saying here for 2 weeks, honestly this hotel isnt as bad as everyone is making out. The only thing that stopped me coming back this year was that at lunch time a local sports team of teenagers come in and swarm the place, they push in and barge everyone out the way and eat most of the food. So we used to go and eat at the beach bar at lunch time to avoid them. They also come at dinner time but if you get to dinner early then youll avoid them. Thats the only bad thing about the hotel. If it wasnt for that Id have booked this hotel again but instead were going to Gergana.
