  Good Location & Great Stay

  Spacious suite room with very unique, quaint and luxury design, just liked we were staying in one of the room in a castle. We loved our room very much, 2 nights stay were really too short. We could cook our own meal here. Very good breakfast. Very polite staff. Free luggage storage. We came back at 2 p.m. and took rest and played snooker in the lounge. A very thoughtful lady staff offered to give us hot coffee...how nice to have a coffee in such a cold day. Thank you girl :) The only con ... Our suite room only has one and only pot for cooking, no pan, even there were two cooking hubs and an oven, but useless without cooking utensils. The receptionist promised to provide one pan but never seen in out 2 nights stay, and we never seen her again too.

  Eclectic hotel or B&B!

  We had a great stay in the low season but they closed the billiard room in the evening without our knowing. We stayed in the Karlsökungen room, an etage studio with kitchenette and room for four. The decor is over the top, with lighting fixtures that resemble gas lights of more than a century ago, and an air of opulence. But as the quality of the antique furniture makes it feel lived in an unpretentious. A nice change to standard utilitarian styles of many hotels. Great room for a small family. Nice 3+ star accommodation. (Thats Scandinavian 3 star. Easily 4+ compared to many English and continental 4 stared hotels) In low season it is great to be so closed to everything. At high season the noise from the bars might be disturbing for some folks.

  Lovely place , full of character

  We only stayed one night on a quick visit to Visby. Close to the ferry terminal about 10 minutes walk. This hotel is only small about eight rooms I think , full of character, our room was very comfortable and beautifully decorated. Good bathroom and great free wifi . We could not have breakfast there as there was a big function happening but arrangements had been made for us to have breakfast at another hotel only two minutes away which was quite ok. Near our room their was a lovely lounge area that we could relax in . The whole place is like something from days gone by, beautifully presented, makes one feel a bit special . Would be quite good to stay there longer as their was a small kitchen so one could cook a meal if that way inclined. Book out time was 11 am. But we were allowed to leave our luggage their until just before the ferry left late afternoon to go back to Stockholm . Would definately stay here again as it is right in the Old Town and easy to walk to every thing from there.

  Unusual place. Good breakfast.

  If you are tired of the clean Scandinavian design and wish to spend some nights back in the centuries, this is the place! Furniture and decorations are older than vintage and the several paintings and b/w photobooks may keep you awake at night if you are the kind of person that believes in ghosts. We spent 3 nights there, slept like babies (in silence and comfort) and enjoyed the homemade bread and biologic eggs served for breakfast. Good position, 5 min walking from a large parking area. Recommended.

  Annexet is not a hotel-experience, it is more close to a Air BnB-experience

  Annexet is 250m away from the actual hotel, with direct entry to the room from the street. If i knew this, i would have booked a proper hotel and paid the 50 extra for 4-stars. WiFi did work lousy, poor signal strength. For a hotel-experience, this is a one-star. For a BnB experience, it is 4-5 star. Since it is announced as a hotel experience, i apply the hotel grade scale.
