  Very good location for a short stay

  We went from Taipei for the last chance to view flora exposition 4/2019. The hotel is in walking distance from the train station. The room is quiet, spacious and clean. The AC is working good. We have a comfortable stay. The rate is very reasonable. Our room rate did not include breakfast which is OK since we can find breakfast place near by easily.

  Central location

  The location is right the opposite of Gancheng bus station. Very easy to explore Taichung as the bus terminal is very close. Quite close to Taichung train station. The hotel itself is quite basic with limited service. This is ok for me considering the price. Good service and helpful front office.

  Not bad but not good

  The good : - it is clean - close to a gym about 5 mins walk and cost 180 NT$/Day The good/bad : - location, if you don't know then taichung has no metro and you will use taxi or uber or bus for public transport, Gancheng Station is located meters away from the hotel which is good but buses are extremely slow in taichung (expect a 45 mins for 5 kms), so basically to go anywhere from the hotel like rainbow village or feng chia night market expext losing at least hour and half for return journey, on the other hand Gancheng station is perfect for visiting sun moon lake because buses departure from here and cost 70 something if you use easy card to reach the lake, another good thing is you probably will arrive taichung through HSR train and the Station is located outside the city but then you can transfer to TRA train to a station 500 meters away from the hotel. The bad : - check in at 3 and check out at 11 - breakfast is bad and not a single piece of fruit , i stayed for 2 days , both days eggs were terrible, it feels like reheated scrambled eggs , and one day it was scrambled with tiny pieces of carrots (why!) And the other day with pieces of bacon (what if i don't eat bacon!)

  Good location and excellent connectivity

  A business hotel in older section of Taichung. Great location - 8 mins walk to the Taichung Train Station, 3 mins walk to Gancheng bus station (actually just a bus stop) and many long distance bus operators like Nantou Bus along the same main road. Very convenient to travel to place of interests in Taichung by bus from Gancheng stop. Long distance buses to other cities and towns like Puli and Sun Moon Lake. We booked 6 pax rooms with 3 double beds. Room was very clean, spacious and quiet too (our room was facing the side buildings, not main road so not much of a view from window).

Very convenient to travel to Taichung's place of interests by bus from Gancheng stop and other cities/towns like Sun Moon Lake. We booked 6 pax rooms with 3 double beds. Room was very clean, spacious and quiet too (our room was facing the side buildings, not main road but not much view though).
