  Perfect experience

  The hotel has perfect geographic location. It's around 7 km far from the center of Berovo. Has a magnificent view on the lake. From the hotel there goes a road in the wood to the lake. The service there is great. A couple who works there is very friendly and offers you their help every moment you are there. The rooms are clean, warm and offer intimacy. In other words, we were very satisfied and recommend it. It is worth visiting.

  Fabulous spa break in heart of Macedonia

  This was a wonderful discovery - at the edge of Macedonia FROYM a beautifully appointed spa hotel with luxurious apartment bedrooms - vistas overlooking a dam with forest walks cascading down the mixed deciduous and conifered hills. First rate Accomodation, wonderful local cuisine washed down each evening with a charming plum brandy - a local speciality. 2 and a half hours but only 50£ by taxi from Skopje airport. This was a wonderful few days completely away from the bustle and crush of city life. Although a long way from central airport hubs - if you can afford the time - the Aurora is a great place and very safe and secure to enjoy your Macedonian break - and walk back into a quieter time.

  Excellent nature and lake, terrible owners and appartment

  Never again in these appartments. Awful, rude and impolite owners. Service = a big ZERO. When we arrived there at about 15.40h there was nobody at the reception. There was already a couple waiting at the reception desk. When we called the owners by phone, a male person arrogantly said they had to do shopping and would come after an hour. We insisted for them to come earlier, they told us if we didn't want to wait to go to ask for an another hotel. We called VIP hotel in Skopje to complain, they politely appologised and said they had never communicated with a male person in VIP Berovo - he (Dejan or Dean) is husband of the hotel owner and he probably even doesn't work there. The room was not clean enough, the toilet was outside the room, there was no toilet paper. It is covid-19 (coronavirus) period, when hotels are obliged to have gels for disinfection in the rooms, but there was no such gel in the room. The shower was an improvisation, there was no soap or shampoo. The hairdryer was not working. The breakfast was very simple. After 5 minutes there was no cheese, yogurt and juice. The staff in the restaurant and kitchen didn't wear masks. The road is ground road. It is not 3-star hotel, but 1-star apartments. The next day when we complained and said we will write a negative review they were even more rude and try to expell us before check-out. Also other people accommodated at this appartment experienced the same. However, it was too late when we read and realised that there were other similar reviews about Dean, his wife and conditions in this apartment. The only positive things are the nature and the lake.
