  great place/lots of room/ reasonable price/ central

  I read all the tripe about this hotel on tripadv but decided to go anyway. The staff was super helpfull, even though I managed to lock myself out, two times. I didn't miss towels, my stuff was totally secure, everyone was kind, helpfull and the nearby cafes and restaurants in the park across the street was cosy, clean and nice. Theres and ATM across the street, pizzaria on the corner... Its central and GOOD value for money.

  to be avoided, terrible management

  My husband and I decided to stayed in one bedroom apartment on the lower floor of the building to be able to have better internet connection but every morning you could hear the manager shouting loud and swearing to his staff. Yes, he is swearing to his staffs. If you complain that something is broken in the room, you have to wait minimum 3 days until someone decided to come to fix, and if the guy cannot fix the problem, you have to wait for weeks... Internet connection is slow and always broken, if you inform the reception they are only repeating the same alibi that "they are waiting for the technician to come". The same with the TV channels. We remained 4 days without any channel! The aircon in my living room / kitchen were not working well. Linens and towels are very old and with spots! The hotel doesn't have sufficient linens and towels. When they collect the towels and bed sheets in the morning you have to wait 2:30 pm until they finished washing them... the reason I was rarely changing my towels. Collected towels and linens from the rooms are treated like rags. They are put directly on the floor of the lift where people are stepping with their dirty shoes. Provided basic cutleries were very old and limited. You have to buy for yourself! Avoid staying to this hotel if you don't want to ruin your business trip / vacation.

  Apartment living for longer stays

  The apartments are spacious, modern and clean. A much better option than a long term in a hotel; but beware, bring your own crockery, cutlery and pots, the supply provided is limited. I asked for an apartment not above floor 6 as the elevator is notorious for breaking down (but they do come and get you out quickly when you are stuck inside).

  Group Tour Vacation

  We checked in at Maputo Hotel on the25th of October, they are very excellent and generous with good hospitality. Their rooms are clean and comfortable. We only had a power failure at night that was fixed in few hours time and we also had a dripping ceiling, not sure if it was from the Air conditioner and a loose pipe. Other than that, our experience was great and the stuff there was very friendly and helpful. Their WiFi is 99% :-)

  Just Terrible !!!

  Booked in by my company on a layover in Maputo. When we checked in we were told the elevator was broken and our rooms were on the 11th floor !! Room was was very shabby. Broken window, mould in the bathroom, broken wall sockets NO toilet paper. Not worth the $83 charged for the over night stay and in fact would never stay here again. WiFi was terrible and hardly able to connect. Would not recommend this place, nothing in this place relates to VIP !!! Avoid it.
