Very friendly and welcoming with great breakfastsMary and Ben are a lovely couple who will make you feel very welcome from phone call arranging dates, on arrival and during your stay. The room we stayed in was very comfortable and clean. Breakfasts were very tasty using local produce where possible and providing a very wide choice. A great interest was taken about where we were planning to go and suggestions of places on the way were offered, along with any maps or brochures and places we hadn't thought about. Nothing was too much trouble, we would definitely recommend a stay at Vine Cottage if you are planning a visit to the area. Many thanks Mary and Ben.

Excellent!Stayed at Vine cottage with my husband for a 2 day break in July. We arrived at the B&B to a warm welcome and showed to the Pink Room, which dispite the heat was very cool. Everything that you needed was within the room, including shampoo, conditioner and shower gel, plus liquid soap and hand and body lotion. Nice little shower room with toilet and wash hand basin within the bedroom. Unlimited supply of teas and coffees and fresh milk and cold water, all off which were very welcome. A small bowl of fruit also supplied together with biscuits for those feeling less healthy! The room was very quiet at night, and the bed very comfy. Always have a problem with pillows, but those supplied were excelllent and had the best two nights sleep for a long time! Mary and Ben, the hosts were extremely friendly and knowledgeable about the area.. Breakfast was excellent, well cooked and presented. Home made preserves - particularly the apple and ginger jam were very nice! Good location for the Kennet and Avon canal, and the famous Caen Hll locks, all within walking distance. Thoroughly recommend. Would certainly return if in area again.

Cycling tripWe had a lovely stay and an excellent breakfast! Mary and Ben were so friendly and helpful. We enjoyed the pub quiz and appreciated leaving our car overnight whilst we went cycling. Hope to visit again.

Pleasant but expensiveWe stayed for one night, the room was pleasant and the breakfast was ok, and there is parking outside. Nice little touches of tea & coffee, plus some fruit in the room but overall we thought that £110 was rather expensive for our stay.
