Horrid!!!!Without a doubt, one of the most god awful hotels I have ever stayed in. We booked 10 nights at this hotel and checked out after 2 nights. Where do I start? As a family of 3 adults and 2 children, we were assigned 2 rooms on the top floor. Both rooms were extremely compact with thatched roofs. Both my Husband and mother in law banged their heads off the ceiling on many occasions whilst manoeuvring around the rooms. Both rooms had extremely small windows, letting in little to no daylight or air. The bathroom, or should I say shower room in our room was ridiculously small. As my husband sat down on the toilet, he hit his head off the shower. With a small child, it wouldve been practically impossible to shower him. In the room shared by my mother in law and my oldest son, the bath was extremely dirty. (See attached pic). Neither attempted to bathe. The toilet roll holder was held to the wall with masking tape (see attached pic). The nightmare continued as we made our way to the pool on day 1. Whoever does the marketing and pictures for this hotel deserve a medal. The pictures are very very misleading. The inside surround of the pool was coated with dirt and the grounds surrounding the pool were overgrown with weeds. The loungers were held together with parcel tape (see attached pic). Breaking point occurred when I sat on the lounger and it collapsed, bringing me to the ground. I am 24 weeks pregnant!!!!! One of the selling points for us when booking this hotel was the childrens play area. Having experienced what felt like checking into Faulty Towers, I dont know why I was shocked to find the most pathetic excuse for, and dangerous play area. If it could be called that! This consisted of a plastic playhouse with broken chairs inside and a dirty slide. The other play area advertised online was chained up allowing no access. (See attached pics). We visited the reception on 2 occasions to raise our concerns however there were no staff present. After 1 night of this horrific abode, we finally got a hold of a member of staff. The manager in fact. My mother in law(who speaks Italian), raised the concerns we had and requested to check out. Never in my life have I experienced such horrid customer service. The way this man spoke to my mother in law was nothing more than absurd. He was not willing to listen to our concerns, or suggest an alternative. He demanded that we pay the 10nights reservation and we could check out. He then walked off. We were absolutely gobsmacked! As we had booked through booking.com, my Husband called them to seek assistance. We were then sent a young boy claiming to be the manager. He told us that the first person we spoke to wasnt the manager, he was a new employee and was very nervous. Bull****. Again, we raised our concerns with this member of staff. There were no alternative rooms. He confessed that blame was on their side and we should never have been assigned the rooms we had been given being a party of our size. Were we getting somewhere? No!!! In order to allow us to check out, he said that we would need to pay for 3 nights (even though we would only be staying 2!!!!!). The rate would be more than the amount we had booked on booking.com. Where do they get off charging that???? During the conversation, I informed the member of staff (pretending to be the manger) that I was 24 weeks pregnant and had fallen off the sun lounger which was held together with parcel tape. He was not concerned in the slightest. Thank god nothing serious happened to me or my unborn child! I wouldve sued! After spending nearly 90minutes with this member of staff, we admitted defeat as we were getting nowhere and agreed to pay 600 just to get out of this hell hole! 5* in the Bahamas wouldve been cheaper. I can honestly say that I will never return to this hotel. It did without a doubt spoil my familys holiday which we were very much looking forward to. We visit Italy every year as we have family who live there. There are many other things I havent mentioned about this horrid place. Like the poor breakfast on offer (again, nothing like advertised in the pictures on the website), or the bus service they advertise to Monterosso, which when enquired about was told that there was a problem with it. Also, the distances to tourist spots and amenities advertised are completely fictional. The hotel is miles away from the attractions it claims its near. We were completely sold a dud with this hotel. I can only advise those thinking about booking here not to. There are far nicer hotels and accommodations in the surrounding area where you will receive much nicer customer service and assistance. I cant wait to read the cheeky response from the director that will follow this review. It will hopefully show him to be the disgusting, rude man that he was the evening we tried to raise our concerns with him.

Up in the mountainsLittle out of town, with fantastic view over LaSpecia. Only to restaurants in the villages, one of them was a Pizzeria, the other with real good food, but book tables for the weekend. The hotel room, nice and big, little mix of furniture of different types. Not so well insulation between the room, so you here some noise from the neighbors. Nice and quiet area.

Great stay!Newly built comfortable room. Shuttle bus to go down to nearest village. Great dinner with a view. Super nice staff. Several relaxing areas with different kinds of chairs, all with a great view. Nice pool area with a shower. In all, a very good stay!

I'd happily returnMy friend and i stayed here in late July 2019, for 2 nights. Pros: For a peaceful stay, the location and facilities are hard to beat. The proprietors - Ines and her husband - are very hands-on and seemingly always available for a chat and advice on local attractions. There is a free parking on site. For a small fee, the hotel offers a bus transfer to the train station, from which you can start exploring 5 cities. Cons: A couple of waiters could improve their manners and the restaurant ought to have a few 'bug zapper' lamps. But these are small niggles. I'd happily return here.

Visit September 2019Hotel is far away from everything, some rooms ok some rooms strange format, only one elevator in main building. Restaurant food for both breakfast and dinner is good, service also good. Avoid staying there when it rains. Not too far from hotel they have a nice shopping mall.
