  Great location and cristal sea water

  The hotel is situated at the sea, has it's own beach and pool. The area of the hotel is full of trees, palms and flowers. Our room was clean and spacious enough but a little dark. Water in the sea is realy cristal, not like in Salerno coast - now i know that it is very important, if I had known it earlier, I would have stay longer on the Costa Viola. The breakfast includes not only sweet products but also brad, ham, cheese and ... tomatos, what is a rare view in Italy.

  Lovely pool, helpful staff, the accommodation didn't match the standard of the setting

  I rented a studio so expected an ensuite room with a kitchenette. When shown the studio I noted it had a small front garden with a table and chairs - how quaint I thought, ideal for al fresco dining. Then they opened the door and I realised that the studio was a dark room with a bed in it and a rail to hang clothes on - that was it! It reminded me of a garden shed. The toilet and shower were outside in the front garden as was the kitchenette (hob with butane gas) & the fridge. I asked for alternative accommodation, but there was nothing available. The staff rang their sister hotels - Hotel Grotticelli & Residence Esmeralda and drove us a few miles away to have a look. We were then transferred to an apartment at Esmeralda with all facilities indoors and a lovely verandah with a sea view. There was no air conditioning at either site and there was a heatwave - so 35C was uncomfortable for us, being from the UK. We had access to the Hotel Grotticelli swimming pool and to Grotticelli beach about 1/4 mile away. This holiday could have been a disaster for me, so I am very grateful to the staff for finding us alternative accommodation. Villagio club agrumeto would be ok for those used to camping who want a no frills cheap place to sleep, but is not suitable for a middle aged lady who likes a bit of comfort!!

  All is was perfect , especially food;) Staff so friendly. Room was cleaning every day. Nice green garden and view on the blue sea..so many greetings all staff there. Never forget. I hope that come back again.

  MUy buen servico de habitación y personal con playa muy pobre¡¡¡

  Reservamos por tres noches a fines de septiembre, final de temporada en Italia. La habitación amplia, cómoda, con aire acondicionado , sin televisor , baño super nuevo . El personal excelente siempre dispuesto a solucionar nuestros pedidos. Buen servicio de desayuno y de restaurante en una posición optima sobre el mar. Lo único malo es que el vilaggio no tiene playa al mar , se debe atravesar unos 50-60 metros de rocas para llegar a la playa asignada, muy incomodo para niños o personas mayores. Existe un paso a la playa de un villagio vecino pero esta cancelada.

  Summer vacation in Calabria

  The most beautiful sea and the beach, carribic blu and clear. Resort is on the beach, a lot of beautiful mediterranean plants all arond the garden, clean pool, nice clean rooms, fine food. What to say about the staff... they are soooo great, all of them. Gentle, helpfull, patient and friendly. Hope to come back in the future to feel all those mediterranean beauties of Calabria that we fell in love with already... Family from Belgrade, Serbia
