  Excelente lugar!

  Estuvimos esquiando en Squaw Valley con mi familia, y elegimos este lugar para dormir. La ubicación es fantástica y los departamentos están muy bien ubicados. The Village At Squaw Valley es un complejo muy recomendable.

  EL The Village At Squaw Valley es el lugar mejor ubicado para esquiar en Squaw Valley, esta a menos de 100 metros de los medios. Los departamentos tienen todo el equipamiento y tenes una muy buena variedad de locales abajo.

  Muchisimas cosas para hacer

  No es necesario saber skiar para disfrutar de Squaw Valley, en la villa hay muchos restaurantes, tiendas, un área un poco mas alejada llamada "Snoventures", donde tienes Snow-Tubing (niños y adultos) y Snow Mobiles (solo niños). Y desde la base se puede subir al tope (High Camp), el pase para los non-seres es más barato. En el tope tienes hermosas vistas de Lake Tahoe, de las montañas, un restaurante, un lugar de comida más al paso, un mini museo de las olimpiadas y una pista de patinaje sobre hielo. En verano esa zona es para hacer hiking y hay pista de patinaje sobre ruedas, jacuzzi y piscina.

  sigh. dont come. they dont care about you.

  look... here is the deal. the location is awesome. the rooms really arent bad. cramped but pretty well maintained. but this resort has some serious challenges 1. its sooooo hot in these rooms. why??? we called the front desk who suggested turning off the thermostat, opening the windows and, believe it or not, using the ac unit. what? why would you need ac at a ski resort in the winter? because the heating system is based on pipes according to the front desk and it takes hours for the thermostat to have any affect and when you opened our windows you were greeted by the sounds of tail gating on the parking lot. see the picture of the ac unit. we couldnt figure it out. 2. if you are hoping to work and ski forget it. the wifi was sooooooo bad. couldnt even connect. had to use personal hotspots which keep going out up here. finally spoke to IT who directed us to the homeowners wifi. hint the login is frontdesk. that one works. which speaks volumes 3 last and most importantly there is a complete lack of customer centricity. the poor front desk staff seems so resigned to having to say no over and over again. they have not been trained or empowered to meet their customers needs. it must be very frustrating. if you dont believe me just hang out in lobby for ten minutes and listen to the heated conversations at the front desk. 4. only two elevators for entire building. one was out of order the entire five day stay. and the other has a capacity of two people or a family due to covid. see photos. it created huge waits and problems for families trying to get their skis bags and stuff in and out of their rooms. and no bell staff. ok covid. but other resorts here have the bell staff to help. again. focus on your customer. fix the elevator. find a way to help them 5. hot tubs closed due to covid. ok i get it but thé resort at squaw creek less than a mile away had their pool and hot tubs open. so what is going on? financial problems? too many condos? owner focused on maximizing near term cash flow and sacrificing customer satisfaction. and long term value? who knows. does it matter? the customer experience is lousy. bottom line is this resort needs new customer centric managment the type you would see if it was manage by the hyatt, marriot or even four seasons. the location is that good.

  Best week ever!

  We had the best week ever at SV in the Village. Erin checked us in at the front desk and our 1-bedroom suite was perfect. She even helped us out when the WiFi wasnt working. We stayed Monday -Thursday and then moved into a 2-bedroom suite Thursday- Sunday. Erin set us up so that we could move into the 2-bedroom suite on Thursday morning. The whole stay was excellent and safe. Everyone was wearing a mask, and restaurants have great outdoor set ups or carry out options. Thanks, SV!
