  Best birthday vacation on 2019

  We had a beautiful 2 story villa to ourselves away from neighbors even with private corner beach across the drive from the main restaurants. Fantastic service let us check in smoothly and promptly. We Will stay there again.

  Booking issue!

  Tabitha, She is amazing! I made a big mistake and booked the wrong size room. She is trying everything she can to help me ! Hoping Groupon works with us as well.   Double Nightmare

  I arrived to find a building that looked more like a motel 6 than a place for a "spectacular" visit to Duck Key. Neither KeysCaribbean nor Hotels.com would change the location. This was a reunion with a friend I hadn't seen for 50 years who would have easily refused to stay. The advertisements are false, the rooms are dated and dirty and the view is not the marina, but a repair container and gas pumps. Most of the grounds are a parking lot. There is no handicapped access and the pictures of a wide well appointed verandah were in reality a tiny balcony with two white resin stackable chairs. The close by pool and beach are in fact a 15 minutes drive away requiring one to leave Duck Key and drive to a separate location. There are no amenities available and one cannot even enter the Hawks Cay Resort to enjoy one of their restaurants without a fee. We will be requesting a refund due to misrepresentation and bait and switch tactics.

  Dont book villa 6009 Marina Village until its updated

  Be sure to ask for photos before you book a villa that is individually owned. We have stayed at Hawks Cay many times but this time we had a unit had not been updated since...the 80s??? The bathrooms were small but the master had no shower head!!! It was like showering under a garden hose! I had to share with my daughters bathroom and it was cramped! The tiles were all cracked. Rugs were thin and worn as they desperately needed to be replaced. They looked so nasty. There were limited towels. I wouldnt even dare sit on the lounger cushion on the patio. The kicker was when I went to use the railing to walk down the balcony outside stairs and it fell off! Just fell off! And I had just had back surgery 6 weeks ago! Im lucky I didnt fall! Then theres the carpet...stains all around which just make you feel icky. There should be inspections and standards for these units to be rentable....otherwise the surroundings are lovely.

  False advertising, this a motel in a gas station parking lot.

  This property is best described as a outdated motel in need of major repair and renovation. First Room was filthy and up a flight of cracked concrete stairs. We demanded a new room which was clean but dated. NO POOL or BEACH. Advertised beach and pool is a community pool 8 miles away and no outside food or drinks allowed. No on site staff. We were locked out our room do to a faulty lock and stood in blazing sun for 45 minutes until someone with no identification showed up to repair the door lock. We cannot recommend the villages. The pictures on the website are not of this property! They are showing photos of adjacent property of which guest of villages have no access.
