    Best weekend ever!

I went to Folgaria to spend a weekend with my family and I had a lovely stay at villa Wilma! The hotel is a great building, typically tirolese style, located at the top of a hill and with a wonderful view over the town and the surrounding mountains. It snowed a lot overnight and the wake up in the morning was stunning! The Walzolgher family are great host and lovely people. We really enjoyed our time with Carlo, Nadia, Maxi and Sara. They made us feel at home and have lots of suggestions for what to do in the area - for example great recommendations about the best ski slopes! Also, the wellness centre is a must. Sauna, Turkish bath and hydrotherapy, all new and very comfy. And if youre lucky enough you can run straight from the hot sauna to the snow outside :-) finally, the food is unforgettable. Modern northern Italian cuisine for lunch and dinner and the buffet at breakfast is one of the best Ive ever seen, with many savoury and sweet options including fresh honeycomb!

    Absolutely fantastic!

This is a great place. We used it as our base to ski locally (family of 5). There is so much to like. The hotel itself is lovely - family owned and they have a great eye for detail to make sure everything is good. Outside its like a Tyrolean lodge with fantastic views of the mountains. Inside its really homely with lots of interesting nic nacs a nice bar and restaurant. The rooms are pretty good - we had 32 for us and 33 for the kids. Both had baths which was great after a days skiing. The staff were just great - they couldn't do enough and even drove us to collect our ski passes and equipment. The food would grace a much more expensive hotel - its was plentiful, delicious and healthy too. There was even honey still in its comb. breakfast was a real treat. They can do you a packed lunch too but that perhaps was a bit expensive. Beer and wine was good and well served. When we were there it was pretty quiet which suited us and its just a short walk to the village and the ski bus and land train to take you too the piste. Not that many Brits stay but the other guests (largely Italian were very pleasant. No UK Tv channels but actually that was nice and the free wi fi for streaming was fine. The ski slopes for us were good (plenty of greens) and maintained really well. There was plenty of snow but if not they have lots and lots of snow cannons to ensure skiing. Lovely genuine people running this, great location, great food, great weather, only 1 hour from Verona airport. Why bother with France!?

The Hotel is nice. The owner woke us and the other guests on Sunday morning by making reckless noise on 7:30 oclock a.m

On Sunday morning at 7:30 a.m. the owner woke up all guests by making reckless noise. Even when we asked him to stop making noise he continued. The hotel is overall good, the owner lacks hospitality and manners.

    Excellent 12-day stay

My husband and I spent 12 nights, on a half board basis, at Hotel Villa Wilma from 30 August to 11 September 2019. We used the hotel as our base from which to go walking each day. The hotel was an excellent choice. Nadia, along with Maximillian and Carlo, did everything they possibly could to make our holiday enjoyable. The staff, particularly Sarah and Vesna, were highly efficient, most professional and pleasant at all times. The hotel was warm and offered all the facilities we needed, even on the couple of very wet days we had. Hotel Villa Wilma is a traditional Tyrolean style chalet with flower-bedecked balconies. It is exceptionally well maintained and is located near the centre of Folgaria, very convenient to bus stops. The meals were excellent. We had a great choice of high quality food for both breakfast and for dinner. In addition, the standard of cuisine was superb. For dinner, we were offered many traditional dishes as well as a great variety of fresh fruit and vegetables. The wine list offers a very good range of Trentino wines, all very reasonably priced. For us, the hotel was a perfect choice and we would recommend it very highly. We are hoping to return as soon as we can!

Great weeks stay over new Year

Thanks due for an awesome stay over New year 2019/20. This hotel is family owned by some lovely people. So shout out to Nadai, Carlo, Max and Sara! Its just such a lovely location not far from the centre of Folgaria which is quaint and charming and with great mountain views to the front. We stayed half board and the food is just lovely (and more than you need to stock up in the morning and replenish at night which our three children did!) The attention to detail is lovely in the hotel and its really good value. Everyone bent over backwards to make us feel comfortable and to help us get set up with ski hire and passes for the week. We really like the skiing here - lots of snow cannon and lots of effort to keep the pistes really good. Visit - its terrrific!
