  Spent a lovely week in Cavtat at villa voinic staying with a lovely family who could not do enough to assist us. We had many nice meals during our stay, none better than at IVAN Restaurant which is also owned by our hosts. Cavtat is a lovely holiday spot and hope to return soon. Many thanks also for the run to the airport.

  Early summer stay

  Booked Villa Voinic on the recommendation of a friend who frequently stays in Cavtat. The welcome was superb -the weather was unfortunately nowhere near as the genuine warmth the family showed us. Guided up to room 7 the view of the bay from the balcony was fantastic through the mist and rain. The room was spacious, spotlessly clean and could easily cater for 3 people. A welcome bottle of local wine and a bunch of roses were waiting for us. The kitchen area was compact but there was nothing which hadn't been thought of. Fridge was good size and en-suite had plenty of room, including a washer drier. The Villa is up a steep hill so that the rain washed down the hill and kept floods at bay! It also keeps you fit walking up it from the harbour area. One minor thing is that this hill may not be good for people who have mobility issues but it can be overcome by local taxis being very inexpensive to travel the 600m or so to the town. The pool was fantastic, easily catering for 10 sunbeds but unfortunately we only had the weather to benefit from it for 2 out of our 7 days. I cannot praise the place highly enough. Whenever we saw any of the family we were asked if there was anything they could do without them being pushy in any way-genuine warmth. We would love to come back when the weather is more like it normally is in May but for a place to stay, there can be no better in Cavtat. .   Holiday cavtat

  Lovely people who owned this apartment, would do anything for you. However the room we had was small compared to others we saw and up 2 flights of stairs, considering my husband uses a walking stick. The apartment was clean however not enough storage and balcony to small. This apartment block is at the top of a bank which we named cardiac hill, Im quite fit and I struggled, its really steep and in the warm weather even more difficult,

  A 5 day break away from the madness at home!

  The very friendly host welcomed me and helped me to the top floor with my large suitcase. She showed me to my room and pointed out how the a/c worked (no additional charges), the doors to the balcony (with a fabulous view over Cavtat) with a table and two chairs. The room (number 8) was smaller than expected but spotlessly clean. The fridge looked new. There is a microwave and two electric ring hob if you want to self cater. There is plenty of crockery and cutlery for two people, as well as glasses. It was also good to have a little larder stock of salt, sugar, pepper, etc. and also washing up liquid and sponge provided. The shower cubicle is a bit on the small size. a tall or large person would struggle to get into it. 2 small shower gels and 2 small hand soaps are provided. There is a wall mounted hairdryer (I also found a new hairdryer in a box under the sink that also could be used). The pool area is again kept very clean with sunbeds and umbrellas. The Wi-Fi is good in all areas of the villa and pool. Clean T Towels, bath towels, pool towels, toilet rolls and cleaning equipment are all well stocked in a cupboard outside the room for guests use. The villa owners also own and run the Ivan restaurant which I can highly recommend. My meal was of excellent quality and very well presented. I thoroughly enjoyed my stay and would definitely return.
