  Despicable cancellation policy

  We had booked a room here for a week in October as part of our honeymoon. It was our own fault but within an hour of booking we asked to re-arrange as hadnt appreciated the ferry times from Bari to Dubrovnik in October were different from high season. We were unable to cancel without a full 100% charge. We were unable to amend the booking to take in the ferry times without having to pay for the original booking 100% too. What a way to treat potential customers? Needless to say we did not stay - but have paid in full for the privilege.

  A pleasant way to end a Croatian visit

  After a rather grueling 8 day sightseeing adventure , the Villa Vesna became a relaxing end to our vacation. Having been warned by other reviews about the stairs we packed a weekend bag and left the bulk or our luggage at hotel we stayed at outside the walled city. It was a perfect solution for our treck high into the old city. The apartment was cozy, clean and located in a quiet part of town. Amenities were more than adequate, beds comfortable and kitchenette functional. Our host was a very pleasant woman who welcomed us and gave town recommendations. Overall it was fun to end our trip living "like a local".

  Terrible

  A million steps to get to the apartment with heavy luggage was not a great start. The host was terrible to communicate with, even in an emergency. The bed was back-breaking or should I say beds are they were just small single beds shoved together! The fridge didn't work properly. The step going into the bathroom is dangerous and the shower itself is too small for even a child! It's situated between two hostels so the noise was loud most nights. Never again will we come back to this place.

  A hike to get too but in a good location to explore Old Town

  Stayed as a Mum and two kids and while it was a hike to get to the apartment and the first contact was a bit confusing we checked in and all was fine. Nice to have two separate rooms, kids had plenty of space upstairs. Beds werent the most comfortable but when you walk and explore all day you sleep heavy either way! Handy to have a kitchenette for breakfasts, rooms were clean and tidy. Happy with stay.

  EXTREMELY UNREASONABLE - WOULD NOT OFFER FREE CANCELLATION FOR COVID-19 OUTBREAK - AVOID STAYING HERE AT ALL COSTS!

  Due to the Coronavirus pandemic we are unable to travel to Croatia in May for a friend's wedding. I contacted the property to ask politely for a refund and they refused, even in this global crisis they are still reluctant to provide refunds when customers aren't able to stay due to GOVERNMENT RESTRICTIONS. I am having to go further to get my money back. Nobody could foresee these circumstances. It is appalling. I now wouldn't want to ever stay here.
