  Tradition, atmosphere, homeliness and fantastic food

  We have been to Villa Solitude twice and have en enjoyed it big time! We will strongly recommend to take half board. Then you will have your dinner in the most delightful restaurant "Lutter & Wegner" at the basement of the hotel. The food is close to gourmé standard and you will not find it better anywhere in town. And the prices are absolutely fair. The hotel manager Maria and the whole staff is making a huge effort to make you feel comfortable and at home.

  Full of character!

  We booked well in advance and since then there have been some management changes but they seem now to have been resolved. Our answers prior to arrival were answered swiftly but there was a slight inaccuracy on the restaurant. We were arriving late and asked about timings, to be told that the restaurant was open till 2300. That was the case, but the kitchen closed at 2130. However, the chef was on hand and we had a great dinner after all. Our room, 7, was at the top of the villa and had small but lovely views over the valley. It had a large bed/sitting area and small but adequate shower room. We were there for 4 nights and had to ask for additional shower/shampoo sachets but apart from that we lacked nothing. The breakfasts were good - simple buffet and eggs to order - set us up for the day with fresh fruit too. Our friends had one of the suites on the ground floor but quite frankly, our room was nicer!

  Living in another time ...

  Charming hotel which is a former holiday home for a Count. The rooms were good and clean. Austrian authentic breakfast. The hotel also has a resturant with a good menu for dinner including a large collection of local wines.

  Een Geweldig Restaurant !!

  We waren vanaf de weg in de auto dit restaurant van Villa Solitude gezien . Verliefd !!! We waren daar... WOW.. wat een plek om te zitten the omgeving en de groen van bomen te genieten!! Geen woorden ! Veels te mooi om te beschrijven. Het eten is FRESH and SO YUMMIE !!! Compliment for the kitchen staffs. All ingridients are fresh!!! Thank you. And the restaurant staffs are so friendly and helpful even it was quite busy for only 1 staff ( we forgot her name. ) She even replaced the (minimum) iced chocolated she accidently let fall, when I kept talking to her ! Really sorry and thank you so much, beautiful girl !!!

  back in time

  The former residence of the Baron de Mesnil, this place seems to have come straight out of the 19th century. Wood panelled rooms, all very classy, nice carpets, great views, etc. Food was just acceptable (so bit disappointing) and only outstanding on New Years Eve. Would come back as the price of 400 EUR for a family suite over Xmas was quite attractive.
