SURPRISE, SURPRISEJust outside Ivrea, in a small side-street and hidden behind a towering wall, you will be surprised to find a prestigious looking, beautifully restored country residence with a luscious park full of ancient trees. You will also discover generously sized rooms with all the comfort you need, a cozy little bar to enjoy famous Piedmont wines, and an elegant gourmet restaurant where an innovative chef knows how to cook up a storm. Whether you visit the historic town of Ivrea nearby or are on your way to the bustling metropolitan city of Turin, staying at this quaint place is definitely worth your consideration. Courteous staff, relaxing accommodations and exceptional food await you.

Quaint Italian villaBooked 2 nights in this charming Italian villa north of Turin. Our room on the top floor had a nice big terrace to walk out on. The pool hadn't been opened for the summer which was a little disappointing since it was quite warm when we were there. The dinner had as part of the package was excellent, as was the wine tasting beforehand. Staff were great with sightseeing tips. Would go back when renovations have been completed and the villa is at its best again.

Don't go thereThe place are old and worn out. No management, only some young people trying to deliver Hotel service, but with no success. We had "Wine tasting" as part off the stay, but it was done by a young girl, that had no knowledge off wine and seemed very uncomfortable with the job. The pool is useless, half off the sunbeds was broken. The nearby farm provided lots off flies, that invaded your body if you laid down for a minute. The place have focus on wedding arrangements in the garden. We were asked to move to a B&B nearby the last night. The reason was "pluming problems", but another couple got the same history, so probably it was overbooking due to the wedding arrangement.

Poor value for moneyWhat I liked: 1. Very interesting historical building. 2. Huge two-room for 4 people. 19 century style (see pictures) 3. Friendly staff 4. Convenient parking 5. A large territory. What I did not like: 1. Bedbugs !!! The room has many garden bedbugs. On all the curtains and windows. 2. No lift. Although staff helps with the suitcases. 3. It was very cold in the room and we did not find additional blankets. Heating works for some incomprehensible system. 4. Rusty water from pipes 5. There are no plates with room numbers. It's difficult to call neighbors. 6. There is no kitchen. More precisely, there is a kitchen, it was constantly prepared for something, but not for the villagers. 7. Breakfast is modest without hot dishes. So it was interesting to stay in such a place but its comfort whishes to be better and on my opinion it does not cost the price paid.

Private parties only... what a pity.A delightful place outside Ivrea. I have stayed there before and would have liked to return. We stopped by on our little tour, and had a lovely chat with the owner who informed us that the Villa is now only available for private groups of ca.100 or more. Bow we just have to figure out how to get a group together...
