    Don't do it..

Looking at the pictures we were looking forward to visit. When entering the hotel, the pool is the first to see, this looks great. No comments on that. Entering our bedroom we were shocked.. everything looks poor, not corresponding the photos or I did see on the bigger websites. The aircon did not work properly and there was a spoon sticking out to keep it open. The electricitywires were sticking out of the wall! However we did drive all day long with 4 adults and 5 kids from Siem Reap to Phnom Penh and were extremely tired and therefore we decided to stay. The matras turned out to be so thin that you better sleep on the floor!! After a bad night sleep we reported our complaints at the reception and ask to find a proper solution... thicker matrasses would help a bit to stand our last night in Cambodja. Also fixing the electric wires, changing room and possibly a compensation for our bad night sleep were all mentioned. The receptionist apologised, mentioned that more persons were unsatisfied and that the photos were old and photoshopped. We had to go on our trip to the Angkor Wat so she promised us to talk to her boss and come to a good solution. At the end of the day we returned to the hotel and had to wait for the receptionist for a hour to hear from her that she could do nothing for us. The electricity was fixed but no other things could be arranged.. no new or other matras, no other room, no refund... nothing... the manager was on vacation so she couldnt do nothing more for us.. We could leave without paying the last day, that was it.. we drove around with a cab looking for another hotel but we needed 4 rooms and there was no availability.. We have written a official claim, asking for a response, but till today we did not hear anything.. Even the bar doesn't know how to prepare a proper drink that the offered on happy hour. Long story short... there are many other good hotels in Phnom Penh, we would recommend all, but not this one..

    Simply the best!

Probably the best value for money guest house in Phnom Penh. Staff are fantastic. Rooms are clean. Food great. Perfect location and quiet. Terrific pool. Stayed for 4 nights and then returned for 5 more. Fabulous holiday.

    Potential - improvement needed

Positives - Staff, especially Lilly, are helpful and lovely - Breakfast was great! French toast was a hit - Dining area and stairwells have great decor - Provided cancellation with no problem Room for improvement - Room was dirty: walls, floor etc - Looked significantly different from photos, very drab.

    What is the owner thinking?

Stayed at the hotel for 10 days in January 2020. Third stay in 3 years. The hotel was refurbished 3 or 4 years ago and previous owner lived in PP and was on site every day. Since new owner took over and lives abroad, there is no new investment or ongoing maintenance and it is starting to show even though on site staff are doing their best and go beyond reasonable. Biggest disappointment on this stay were a group of guests who spent a week or so there. They were rude to other guests and staff. Insisted on their apparent right to gather at the pool at night, speak or rather shout loudly into phones and each other, help themselves to bar drinks and leave a real mess for early morning users. They made it clear they were related to the owner so.... Staff tried to apologise but such behavior by owners guests or family reflects badly on hotel. Next visit I will first check who else might be staying!!

    Avoid

The photos make it look really nice but it isn't. I had the large room with the balcony. Balcony door was broken reported this on day 1 wasnt fixed until our last night. Due to the door not closing I was left with over 50 bites over my legs. The room was nice though. Breakfast not brill8but it's what I expected in Cambodia. Couldn't have a quite drink around the pool in the evening as a group of people found it amusing to drive bomb into the pool right next to where you sat. The only saving grace is the staff. They done there best. Wasnt happy that a couple of days into my stay I was asked to pay for my rooms up front or the staff wont get their wages For what you get its overpriced.
