  Muy buena elección

  Nos hospedamos dos noches en nuestro viaje por Croacia, Bosnia, Eslovenia, Italia y Montenegro. Una excelente elección. La recepción está a la altura de la calle, pero el hotel se desarrolla sobre una ladera que desciende hacia el mar. No es recomendable para personas muy mayores ya que tiene muchas escaleras. Tiene un muy buen desayuno en una de las plantas frente al mar, aunque hay mucha vegetación. Junto al mar cruzando previamente una calle que recorre toda la costa, tiene un playon con reposeras para disfrutar del sol y el mar como si fuera una pileta, dado que en la zona no hay playas. Las habitaciones no muy amplias, pero limpias, modernas y con todo lo necesario, al igual que el baño. Buena la atención. Muy recomendable-

  Disappointment

  This review is based on the Villa Nova restaurant. We stayed here before they built a hotel and had positive experience with our stay and the restaurant.. However, our last visit last month was disappointing. Neum is a very small and boring place to visit, and there are not that many choices to eat out, especially to eat in a quiet place. So we chose this place because of location. While trying to make a reservation in one of the Villa Nova apartments, we were told to reserve a place next door as they were booked, but we also were told to come to their restaurant to purchase breakfast and dinner (confirmed this twice, in person and on the phone). Eating there was a huge mistake, the treatment we received was a real insult, we were impolitely "kicked out" , not welcomed at all , and at the end, when we "pleased' the waiter to let us eat there, explaining the whole reservation situation, we were seated in a corner, hidden table, used just for employees' breaks. The waiter (name starts with "N") was extremely rude and argumentative as everyone else there. In addition to their high dinner charge, you don't get anything "homemade" as you used to get years ago. Instead, you get instant chicken soup (water and noodles swimming in MSG powder !!!) , beef stew from a can (Podravka gulas), heated frozen vegetables out of Ledo bag (soggy and tasteless) , salad dressing with oil but no vinegar in it, frozen chicken nuggets....Absolutely disgusting and unhealthy! We all definitely had stomach issues after eating here. It is so sad that the representation of their food to foreigners is as "homemade and high quality", but they can't trick a "foreigner" grown up and raised in Bosnia. Also, we were not given the wifi password for emergency use (family in the USA) and were told we were not guests, we are just allowed to eat there. How rude !!! Very disappointing, we will never go back. This place is in a good location, but the service and food is just terrible.

  Not bad but it has some cons

  We lived in a newer part of this hotel, which is on the other side of the road. It is really new, everything is great inside. It also has a pool and sunbeds on the roof. But we ordered the room with a view on a park, and our view was on the construction works. We had to climb up and down every time we would like to go to the sea or to the apartments or to the lunch. Actually there is no beach, there is a small peace of pier which could comfortably accomodate up to 10 people. Hotel is dog friendly but there are not many green around to walk with a dog. Hotel is located aside from the main part of Neum.

  Great view, terrible restaurant, but overall a good experience,

  We had a room facing the sea with balcony, and the view is gorgeous. The room was okay, with all necessary amenities. They advertised their "private beach", but it is really a small pier/porch with place for ~10 people, which seems to be standard in Neum. The hotel has its own restaurant. We wanted to have dinner there the first night, but we were simply turned away by a rude waiter (he physically blocked us from entering and literally said in a condescending tone "What do you want? You sure you live here?"). We still went there for breakfast the next morning (since breakfast is included in our room charges, and not many other places are open at 7am), and the food was terrible. Be aware that this hotel has two parts, separated by a street, and both the front desk and the parking garage is actually on the other side of the street in the new building. There is a small "front desk" in the old complex, but usually no one is there.

  The confirmation is only when Hotel needs it, not for You.

  Avoid to book this hotel directly!!! We have been at this hotel twice, first via booking.com at it was good so We decided to visit it second time and book directly, that was an disaster. We did a booking around 3 weeks before by email and when We arrived there was no room for Us at all. The manager was telling Me that he was trying to contact me by email- just 5 minutes before my arrival because He didn`t know if I`ll arrive.- That is the most silly explanation which I have heard in My life. So why I shroud make an reservation? Imagine that You drive 3 days to hotel and than there is no room which You have made an reservation. And than He send us to big hotel resort with terrible everything for one night. At next day We went there and Menager didn`t want to speak with us by hiding like kid in a his office. They where extremely unprofessional and rude.
