Clean, modern room, average breakfast, but loud music at night during weekend!Clean, modern & good room, however breakfast was very basic, with little variety of food to choose from, and bread wasnt replenished once finished! We stayed for 3 nights however on Saturday there was a party & the music stayed until 1am. We complained to management about this multiple times, but the volume wasnt lowered despite our complaints. When the party finished, staff kept on cleaning the party room, making loud noises in order to shift tables & chairs. On Sunday there was another party but management happily exchanged our rooms to ones which are far away from the party venue. At least we were lucky that they had other rooms available & we got a good nights sleep.

Far too loud at night and random kids during dayIf you want to be kept awake until 1am by an 18 year olds birthday party, this is the place to stay! The hotel does not concentrate on the comfort and experience of the people sleeping there, but instead lets all and sundry hold parties there, literally outside your bedroom window, until very late. The food is good and the pool is also good but this is all let down by the lack of understanding of what the guests value in a hotel. In the day time there seem to be loads of local kids hanging out by the pool which is incredibly off putting for a couples get away.... hotel has so much potential, but it doesnt quite get there.

A beautiful hotel ideally placed for Etna hiking and exploration!.I stayed at Hotel Villa Michelangelo for seven nights as I needed a hotel with easy access to etna as I enjoy hiking the forests and meadows around the mountain!. The room I was given was quiet during the day but the noise from the air conditioning unit kept me awake most nights!. There was a party going on till the early hours of Saturday night and children screaming till past 2am!. On one morning I was awoken at 07.15 to the sound of a chain saw right outside my window!. Delightful!. Breakfast was meagre, they put out only a few rolls in the morning and when there gone they are not replaced!. I opted for cornflakes but the milk is UHT and was insipid!. They do make nice tea though!. The evening meal was brilliant, beautifully cooked and presented, the staff, as always, attentive and willing to go the extra mile!. The single biggest complaint I have with this hotel is the Wi-fi!. The signal would drop out every five minutes, the Wi-fi kept saying I had inputted the wrong password and, because the hotel had two passwords, I had to alternate between them at least ten times a day!. Incredibly annoying and frustrating!. This hotel could be brilliant but it does itself no favours with the sleepless nights and the Wi-fi!.

Worst experience everIf you are reading this and are seeking a quiet relaxing break, do yourself a favour and STAY AWAY FROM THIS HOTEL!! On the first night we were kept wide awake till 1am by loud music by a birthday party. We asked the management to reduce the sound particularly because we had a 2 year old baby with us. I stayed in the lobby till 12.30am waiting for them to do something about it but they simply closed the doors and ignored our request. This hotel should have been named The Hotel of Horrors as they made us pass from one bad experience to another. Furthermore they make the worst pizza ever using cheap ham from breakfast and their coffee tastes like soup. Dont go there, especially if you have small kids. On a good note the rooms are nice and super clean.

Exceptional staff and wonderful locationMyself, my husband and our two year old daughter spent a fantastic few days in this beautiful hotel. Honestly it felt more like a home away from home. From our initial booking Valentina was so helpful and flexible. I changed our booking 4 times via email and she satisfied our every request without any hint of frustration, if anything the opposite, she seemed only too happy to satisfy my every request. Upon arrival we were welcomed with the same friendliness. The room itself was beautiful, as was the rest of the hotel. The location is spectacular with a view of both Etna and Catania . The food was fresh, local and delicious. The waitress Eleonora was so friendly and helpful, we couldnt have asked for a better stay. Each member of the staff from waiters to cleaners to receptionists, made our stay super special. Needless to say we cant wait to return to villa Michelangelo, hopefully the next time we can hug you all A huge thank you to you all especially Valentina, for making our anniversary and little girls birthday so special, see you all soon, un abbraccio forte forte da stacey, Luca and Melodie
