Absolutely amazing.Wow. I do not even have words to describe how fantastic my experience was with Villa Matarazzo, but I will try. My daughter chose Villa Matarazzo as the venue for her summer wedding. Arianna, the owner of the Villa, helped me maneuver the process of wedding planning for the entire year leading up to it. I do not speak Italian, but Arianna is fluent in English, which made it very easy to communicate with her throughout the planning. She always made herself available to speak whether it was through email, or WhatsApp she was very quick to respond. She worked closely with people from other companies/events (the band, cake, etc) and always relayed information back to us. We did a lot of planning over the phone before meeting in person; but when we met in person for the first time in the spring, she was very organized and had documented all aspects of our conversations from earlier. She was also very sweet, patient, and was a calming presence for everybody on the day of the wedding. I really cant say enough about how fantastic it was to work with her. The Villa and its grounds are absolutely breathtaking. From the panoramic views to the perfectly manicured gardens, it is truly a fantastic venue for any occasion. On the day of my daughters wedding, the women had enough room and space to get ready while the men enjoyed an afternoon outside in an entirely different part of the property it is sprawling. Even for a wedding in mid-July, the hilltop location provides a cool breeze and plenty of shelter from the sun. Additionally, the rooms are spacious and very clean, all being well-equipped with AC and wifi not to mention the lovely views of the grounds and pool. Lastly, and maybe most importantly, the food. Signore Samuele and his team in the kitchen are nothing short of world class. They were able to strike the hardest balance between quantity, quality, and punctuality. In fact, they were so serious about the food that we had to plan some of the event timing around the cooking of the risotto! They truly didnt take any shortcuts. From the meat and fish during the cocktail hour, to the gnocchi, to the final meat dish, everything was cooked to perfection as if it had been order 15 minutes before for a table of 2. Finally, Samuele is an absolute hammer when it came to the detail of the dinner service. His eyes were on everything that hit the tables and he wasnt afraid to change even the slightest of imperfections. He even oversaw the bands setup and teardown to ensure proper positioning. All in all, five stars front to back. It is truly a world-class venue with world-class food all backed by world-class service.

A quiet oasis but close to everythingA peaceful oasis. It is what comes to mind when I think of the beautiful Villa Matarazzo Hotel. It is located among the hills of beautiful Gradara with a stunning view of the famous castle. With over 30,000 sqm of space it felt like we were the only guests in the place (even when a whole wedding party was going on!) and my little fur baby and family had the most pleasant experience. Temperatures rise in the summer, so even though the breeze here is much better than down by the beachside towns the pool is kept at a delicious temperature! So I got to swim every day and tan without sweating. Their food is out of this world! There is only breakfast provided but it is plenty! They really don't hold back. Fresh fruits, gluten free products, handmade pies, it was endless and delicious! With the castle nearby we had a full cultural experience as well, Gradar castle offered many different lunch and dinner places that we got to enjoy while our stay there. I also have to talk about the staff... So helpful, so kind and truly warm. Every morning they would welcome us with a smile, would remember what we liked to drink and had a kind gesture towards my puppy, it felt like home! In the end none of us wanted to leave! We would go back in a heartbeat! We loved every minute of our stay and we cannot recommend this hotel enough.

A lovely experienceWe only stayed a night but I wish it had been more. Close to the stunning borgo of Gradara, this was accommodation picked to minimise parking trouble, but what a relaxing, beautiful spot. The staff were so lovely and friendly, which stood out somewhat, and the room was specious and opulent, with magnificent views. I'd highly recommend it.

Volveremos.

A room with a splendid view!Wow..what a catch! We booked a room in this ancient monastery-turned hotel because we wanted to avoid the overcrowded nearby Ravenna but nothing prepared us for this stunning awesome hide-away place, with it's large gardens, swimmingpool, breakfastroom with Venice glass lamps and super nice hosts! This hotel is a family run place, carefully restored by them which took a few decades. Well, it certainly paid off! Our bedroom was rather small as we wanted two single beds but never mind. Nearby is the cute little village Gradara with stunning views as far as Ravenna. Go have dinner at "la Botte", adorable little eatery with local products!
