  Absolutely wonderful

  I was on holiday with a friend and my 2 daughters and have just returned from a fabulous 2 week holiday at MK. We booked 2 studios and although we didnt get refurbished rooms they were spotlessly clean, comfortable, especially the beds and a fabulous location to the pool and access to WIFI. Run by a small, friendly and hardworking team who make everyone welcome; Demetrius, the quite, charming boss, who never sleeps, Olga and Natalie (interesting life & source of information) who looked after all catering during the day and last but certainly not least Mike (Michailis) the fabulous evening host, who entertained, kept glasses topped up and saved many the agonies of sunburn by cutting fresh aloe Vera. Although this hotel is 3* it is so much more Efcharisto team MK, we hope to return.

  Lovely stay

  We were so lucky to get here as the announcement from grant sharps was made 40 minutes after we left to fly over to advise against essential travel to greek islands. The hotel is clean comfortable and the staff will look after you very well. Would highly recommend this place for to stay. The apartments are close to restaurants and the beach so you do not need to go far to get great restaurants.

  Brilliant

  We are leaving today after an excellent stay at Villa Marie Kelly. Every member of staff made our stay memorable. The room was totally adequate, the full English breakfast was delicious, fresh ingredients, perfect. Location couldnt have been better, plenty to see and do. Quiet towards the end of our stay due to the current conditions but still made to feel important

  Nice Holiday

  Stayed at Villa Marie Kelly for 11 nights , Was a quick decision as our holiday to Fuerterventura got cancelled due to coronavirus! Good 2nd choice made , arrived about 9:30pm was booked in by a lady who was not over friendly and then shown to our room by a man who couldnt even crack a smile! Was pleasantly surprised walked in the door into a big living room area , which had a table and 4 chairs in the middle of the room . Kitchen area to one side , which had kettle , toaster, oven , grill , fridge . Exactly 4 plates , cups , bowls , few more glasses . Didnt really matter to us , as all we had in the room Was drinks . There was a single bed in the same room and like a sofa , but think it doubled up as another single bed . There was also a wardrobe which if your 6ft tall your be fine . It was ok for me and my husband but if there was children aswell youd struggle for space . I had to ask my husband to get my clothes down or stand on a chair . This big area had 3 balconies off of it , it was lovely . Some days once we got back from a day out we opened all the doors and the air flowing through was lovely . The bathroom was very nice , it must have had a refurb , sink was one that looked like it just sat on top of unit . Lovely shower . Then the bedroom we had two larger than normal single beds that we had to push together! One bedside unit , we put a stool the other side for one of us to use . Had a dressing table with two drawers in , and a nice light above it . Bedroom also had a balcony . Was very nice never been away and had so many balconies . We had a sea view room . Pool was nice , not the biggest but done the job of cooling us down when we were laying in the sun. Small bar area which sold snacks and drinks , we had lunch there a couple of times . We were bed and breakfast and can honestly say every morning it was lovely . You could have full English , which was lovely the eggs was cooked perfectly, bacon , sausage and beans , all English , tomato and two slices of toast . Tea or coffee and orange juice . They also did continental, rolls , toasties , and I believe yoghurt and fruit , possibly few more things but I cannot remember. On the night we arrived we went back to reception to see about a safe and air con as it was so hot ! Again not really a lot of friendliness or smiles ! Put it down to them being tired ( as after that the lovely lady was so friendly and nice every day after that , the man well , didnt hear him speak ! ) , paid the 100 for 11 days air con and safe , and off we went ! Got back to the room and realised the air con was only in the main living area , not the bedroom !! So we pushed the beds right over so they was in front of the door and we could feel it , made it kind of manageable to sleep ! The next day we left it on all day , made sure the shutters was all down to block the sun out . And when we got back it was lovely, but had to leave the beds where they were to benefit it in the bedroom . Plenty of places to eat and drink , handful of shops , need to walk good 20 /30 minutes to get to a nice big shopping area and more places to eat and drink . Which we only knew was there as we went on the land train that goes through it. But when we went we just had plenty of drink stops 5 minute walk to the beach , small shop round the corner , but probably better off walking 10 minutes the other way to a nice big supermarket where you can get everything youd possibly need . We ate out every night cant say we had one bad meal , the food was lovely as was all the owners , so welcoming and friendly. On the morning we was leaving we took our air con remote and safe key back , surprised we didnt get any money back , but was asked to pay 16.50 tourist tax ! Which I thought was a bit naughty as normally you pay this on the first night ! What if you was spent out and had no money ! Had a lovely holiday , relaxing break , throughly enjoyed it . Would I return - the resort yes , but Marie Kelly - No sorry.

  Happy happy place

  We love gouves, it's my wife's paradise place. People are lovely and the village is heaven. First time at Marie Kelly. There were six of us and we kind of took over the pool at times and we probably a bit noisy. The rooms are perfect, ours were quite basic but incredibly clean. Couldn't fault the housekeeping. Definitely need the air con though!! (50 euro charge for the week). We had an absolute blast, especially with Mike behind the bar and the you tube tunes option. Would highly recommend and will definitely be returning as soon as we can. Thanks Olga and the gang. Can't wait to see you all again
