  Accessible, Affordable and Good for Short Stays

  Villa Margarita is a good hotel especially if you're out most of the day and you just need the place for a night or two (i.e. attending a conference, meeting etc.). It's accessible to major landmarks like the Abreeza Mall, Seda Hotel, Victoria Plaza, SMX Convention center etc. One drawback of this accessibility is the usual traffic/street noise. A little noisy-busy but tolerable. The rooms and amenities are basic, clean room surroundings, soft bed, average air-conditioning, toilet and bath is not cramped and functional hot and cold shower. Wifi is only available at the lobby. The TV was also not functional during my stay. Breakfast choices are quite limited but I found it delicious and filling. The hotel actually offers catering services for functions and their food is really, really good! They make use of local recipes served artistically. The staff were very courteous and responsive to my requests. Overall, I'd recommend this hotel if you're just after the basic and affordable bed, bath and breakfast.

  tourist from the south

  When we checked-in to this hotel a strong perfume house cleaner was used to clean the entrance floor and it triggers my runny nose, i recommend them to use a house cleaner with mild scent. Room 218 has faulty aircondition and the cable tv has limited channels and no wifi signal in my room. But overall it is a recommendable place to stay in davao.

  A home away from home

  This is not the hotel that you will expect amenities at par with the huge ones. But i have been staying in this friendly hotel for the past 10 years, my home in Davao City. Very friendly staff that you imediately feel at home, secured and situated in a major road area. transportation is not a problem then. price is indeed to everyone's range.

  Good place to stay

  We stayed overnight at Room 211. Airconditioning unit is placed quite low so it took some time to cool the room. There is hot and cold shower, TV, and toiletries. The service is good. No elevator, though. Our stay came with free native breakfast (the usual "silog" breakfast). The price is reasonable vis-a-vis its amenities.

  Good Average Hotel

  This hotel seems to be somewhat over rated as it is just an average hotel for the area, nothing special. The room was ok - a little tired looking though. The free breakfast was fine, but don't have dinner at this place. I was with a birding group that stayed here for one night and we decided to have dinner at the hotel since we had just completed a long drive from Bislig. We ordered dinner (there were six of us) and it took a good hour+ to get served; we were also the only customers there. I can now understand why we were the only customers since the food was not that great and the service was terrible..Go eat somewhere else. Otherwise the stay was alright.
