  Small and comfortable

  Just 38 rooms in this hotel just above the centre of Garda. A 4 minute walk to the centre and the Lakeside and just a bit further to the bus station, down a slope so the walk back might be too much for those with mobility problems.. Seems mainly to be favoured by an older clientele We booked the top floor rooms which had been recently refurbished, and whilst not exactly luxurious, they were more spacious, with comfortable beds, a good balcony and with a great bathroom. We were pleased that the rooms were warm throughout our stay as the weather was cold and wet most of the time. We were somewhat underwhelmed by the food however. Breakfast was good and there are snacks to purchase throughout the day, but in the evening the meals were very much alike. Our main grievance was that the meals were very salty, vegetable choice was poor, there was an over reliance on cheese and desserts consisted entirely of cream. If it matters there were no English language TV channels but there is a daily English newspaper. I have seen a previous post which says bike hire is free, but the electric bike tariff is 9.50 per hour. The staff throughout the hotel were very friendly, and indeed, the owner was often on hand throughout our stay. I would return but only on a B & B basis.

  Very peaceful, clean and attentive Hotel

  Just had a lovely stay at Villa Madrina, bedroom, staff and whole experience was great. Location wise perfect, it was about a 5 min walk from the Lake which meant it was easily accessible but far enough away so was quiet. We went for half board at the Hotel, evening menus were great and provided you with a really authentic Italian experience.

  Excellent location

  This hotel is small but in an excellent location about 7 minutes from the centre of Garda up a short hill. Wonderful views of the lake and surrounding cliffs. The furnishings are slightly old fashioned but none the worse for that. The rooms are kept very clean and tidy. The buffet breakfast is generous and the evening meals were very good. The pasta is homemade as are all the desserts. If you have any allergies etc. the chef can accommodate these, just inform reception beforehand as the menu is displayed in reception. The staff are very friendly and helpful. The swimming pool isnt heated but once you are in it is fine. Altogether a lovely holiday. Our only small complaint was that there wasnt a Do No Disturb notice for the door, so one one occasion we had to wait whilst the cleaning was in progress.

  Friendly Elegance at Villa Madrina

  A whole week of relaxation at this beautiful spot with private patio looking out to the lake in the distance, a spacious swimming pool just a quick walk across a perfectly manicured lawn, delicious breakfast including eggs, meats,fresh baked pastries, juices, and sparkling wine, delicious dinners available on site, and a full luxury spa with massage, facials, the works! Worth every penny spent to have this experience of a lifetime.

  Fantastic Villa Madrina

  Villa Madrina is a gem. Location is very convenient, just a short walk from the buzz of shops and restaurants. The Villa has a beautiful pool and relaxing atmosphere. Everything is clean and the staff are very professional, friendly and helpful. We stayed half board and the service in the restaurant is excellent. The Head Waiter is brilliant and so are Dumy, Stela and Rahman. Nothing is too much trouble. They are taking precautions with Covid and serve everything. They work very hard and always smiling. I also had a massage at Villa Madrina and it was wonderful...the best massage I had in long time. If you are looking for relaxing break with beautiful surroundings and efficient staff come to Villa Madrina.
